what time should i really go to higher zones

Depends on time zone and location.

 

Around this time right now is the best for looting up in high zone towns, there aren't very many people online.

 

At the current when I'm posting this it is a good time if you don't want to get shot in the head.

 

People from all over the world can play, so there will be some1 oneline no matter when you go on. But i would just try to move when i see there is under 10 players on...

 

You can go on when there are very few people on, which occurs late at night to early morning. This doesn't mean that people will not be there, but the chance is a lot slimmer.

Join when there aren't a lot of players online or early in the morning (EST)

 

Join very early in the morning (before 5:00 AM) when most of the EU players are online. There's fewer EU players than US players meaning a better chance to not get killed in the popular kill zones.

 

If you're on the east coast, early morning. West coast, late at night. If you aren't in the Americas, I have no clue. Also, play the server with the least amount of people online.

There is always a chance someone will log on and kill you though.

 

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you're asking what time to go on, it sounds like that has already been answered. If you're asking what gear to have before going, I'll answer that now. Since you can't get diamond outside of the zones you're worried about going into, you'll probably just want to have full iron. When it comes to guns, you probably want to have around tier 2 or 3. Also make sure you have enough food for your travel there, around 8 to 10 canned beans depending on how close you are. And you'll want to have sufficient ammo in case you run into someone. Maybe half a stack of auto ammo and shotgun shells (and pistol if your using one) and 16 sniper bullets.
