Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and TeamSpeak? – I believe I am. I will go into more detail in each separate category.

Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? – I frequently use the 'Report' function on the forums. In game, however, I have submitted zero rule breaker reports. This is due to the fact that many rules broken on fpsHG are minor offences in game and can only be facilitated with a moderator online. (I understand screenshots do not prove much because image manipulation programs are a thing.) Given this position, I will tend to these misdemeanors immediately.

How old are you? – 16

What time zone are you in? – UTC/GMC -6 (U.S. Central Time)

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? – I first heard about Minecraft a few years back, but had no idea how to play. My brother and I bootlegged it, figured out how to play, and decided we wanted to get premium accounts. It was in 2011, the days when the X’s were cool, so I decided to take a spin on my Xbox Live account ‘SilverFalcon47’, and throw some X’s on it. Now, I would do anything to take those X’s out. I got into server stuff and started making servers for my brother and friends to play on. I got bored with regular Minecraft and got into plugin-heavy servers. That’s when I found out about “Call of Duty in Minecraft” (MC-War). It has been over 3 years now, and I know just about everything about the game.

What is your experience with moderating servers? – Like I said before, I have hosted my own server. Though they never got very popular, they gave me a lot of experience moderating. (Proof Here) I was also a moderator on the DaedricGaming Network’s prison server. Unfortunately, I do not have proof of this because I did not take any screenshots of it0 in my 3 months of moderating. The server restarted, along with staff, which is what cut my time short. I was also a moderator on KADGuns practice server.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? – My main goal is to keep the peace in chat. It pains me to see users flaming each other, and I just have to sit back and watch. I am also irritated by people spamming in chat. McBrawl is becoming a battleground, not a peaceful environment people want to play in. I intend to change that.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? – Yes. Like the proverbial says, “It takes a thief to catch a thief.” My experience with hacked clients has taught me how hackers think, and specifically what hacks there are, and what they do. I stopped using hacked clients in Minecraft 1.5.2 because I did not want to get banned anymore. Moving away from the crutch of hacks was very difficult. Now that I have been ‘hack-free’ for over a year, I have started to enjoy moderating servers.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? – Yes. As stated previously, I have used a hacked client before. However, I have turned over a new leaf.

How active do you consider yourself in-game? – On a scale of 1-10, I would give myself a seven. The Brawl servers are the main servers I play on. I am out of town about 2 out of 3 weekends for the summer, but during the week I can be in-game for 4-6 hours a day, depending on the day. I am on fpsHG for most of my time online, but I am also active on the creative server.

How active do you consider yourself on TS3? – On a scale of 1-10, I would give myself an eight. I started using TeamSpeak a few weeks back, and now when I am at my house, I am almost always on it. When I am AFK, or doing something other than Minecraft or the forums, I stay online in the AFK room so I still take messages and announcements. When I am playing Minecraft, however, I scan for filled chat rooms to communicate with other players.

How active do you consider yourself on the forums? – On a scale of 1-10, I would give myself a ten. When I am not in-game, or I am out of town, I am always browsing the forums, looking for a thread where I can voice my opinion. I watch for new fpsHG, creative, and WarZ threads. I joined the forums a while back and never posted. I just read some things. Now I post about 10-15 messages a day. If I posted any more than I do, it would most likely be unnecessary posts. As of now, I have over 450 posts, and I will continue to be active.

What do you consider your greatest strength? – Keeping my word. I will always do what I say I will. I feel that if you cannot keep your word, you cannot be trusted as much as someone who can.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? – My greatest weakness would be my anger. Although it is mainly directed toward my brother, if I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, it is not a good thing. Now, since it is the summer, it seems to be quite a bit easier to control my emotions.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? – In my eyes, the first time is always a warning. I would ask them to stop and read the rules. If it is a DDoS/DoX threat, I would kick them.

How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? – If it is a chat rule, a temporary mute, and a private message to please read the rules. If it is a game rule, I would warn them again. This time more sternly. If it is a second DDoS/DoX threat, I would tempban for 1 hour.

How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? – The third time would result in a tempban. The time would depend on the offence. If it is a chat rule, the time would more than likely be 10 minutes. I would report the user to an SMOD+, and continue moderating.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? – Accept it. I would take it as if I was a regular player. Everyone is bound to make mistakes.

What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? – I would private message them that they did something wrong, and report the message so that SMOD+ staff are notified.

When would you lock a thread? – I would lock a thread if:

· It has been answered/resolved
· There is a ‘grave-dig’
· It is a duplicate thread
· The owner requests a lock
· There is a flame war / The thread goes severely off-topic​

Anything else we should know about you? – I am a straight A student from Illinois, soon to be Junior in high school, and I am a continuous learner. I have started learning Java and have been coding my own plugins. (Nothing too fancy, I just started.)

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? – I would ask them to come into the map, and show me where they got out so I can report it. If they are not able to re-enter, I would ask them to kill themselves, return to the hub, or type ‘/war leave’. If they did not respond after a second request, I would kick them.

Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? – Yes. As stated previously, I have owned my own server. This gave me an enormous amount of experience learning and configuring plugins.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? - Yes.
