    McBrawl Moderator Application:

Hi, before I start answering the questions, I will introduce myself. I am a 15 years old boy, and I live in Norway. In Norway, you will get your military training when you are 19 years old, and there is a group in the Norwegian military called "jegerkompaniet (Norwegian)". In this group, soldiers are being trained to use a long-range rifle, hide for several weeks with very little food, get extreme condition and good strength. It is different sections in this group, and the one I really want to get in to, is called fallskjermjegere. In english, this means paratrooper, or parachute-hunters. It is extremely hard to become a paratrooper, and that is why I am training like crazy to be able to pass their requirements. I have been training for 2 years now, I think, and the training has not only given me strength and good condition. It has also given me a stronger ability to never give up, and achieve my goals. I believe that is a great power to have, because after some time with hard training, I also turned more motivated on school, got better grades. So, for every week I am getting more focused to do what I am expected to do, and as said before, I believe that's a very great strength to have.

I also realize that there are a lot of players that recently applied for moderator on MC-War, but I am still applying because I think I do have what requires to be a proper moderator.

Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? -I consider myself as a very active user on all of them. On the servers, I am very, very active. I don't know exactly how long I have been playing, but it is a very long time since I started. I think it’s maybe 1 and 1/2 years ago. When I first started, I played for some hours each day, and I loved it. When I got better, I started to play more and more, and some days, I played it 9 hours on 1 day. However I don't play so much anymore, but it is still some hours each day, depends on what day it is. On the weekends I will maybe play 5 or 6 hours each day, and 2 hours each day on regular days. After all, I am very active.

When it comes to the forums, am I trying to be as active as I can, and I am always on the forums when I play the game. So, it is some hours each day. I am replying on every post I know something about that haven't been stated before, or posts I have an opinion about. I am also trying to post helpful posts that give answers the thread creator is looking for. Mostly, I am replying with answers, my opinions, better or different ideas and positive feedback  My number of posts is far from greatest, but I do have some posts and I just passed 400 posts.

After downloading Teamspeak, I started using it a lot. I am trying to always be in the mc-war section when I am online, and I find it really nice to talk to people you never have talked to before, and get to know them a little bit better. Unfortunately for me, most of the mc-war players that use teamspeak live in USA, and the time zone in Norway is totally different from the time zones in USA, and therefor it's not always a huge amount of players logged on in the mc-war section on team speak, but there usually is some players. I have also made a couple of friends because of team speak. After all, I am on teamspeak some hours each day.

Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? -I am not sure, but it was a period when I tried to report everyone that was out of map, used a grenade or c4 to glitch, or spammed the chat with other server IP's. I think I have reported like 7 different players (some of them more than 1 time), but I am not sure. I stopped doing it for a while because nothing happened with the players I reported. They still kept glitching around, but now I am reporting everyone that is glitching, spamming and things that makes the game not enjoyable. I recently reported 3 players for spamming IP's in the hub.

How old are you? -I am 15 years of age. Born on the 7th of Mars 1999.

What time zone are you in? -My time zone is UTC+1 (Norway)

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? -My experience with mine craft is not as good as many other players, but I have played the game for several years now. I think I started in 2010, when I got the game from my brother. When I started playing mine craft I was a little bit "One-way-tracked", as you can call it. And with that I mean I refused to play multiplayer because I liked the single player mode too much, and I didn't want any change xD. However I soon started to play multiplayer, and then I discovered how fun it all was, and how many types of games you can play. I never played single player after that. I started to play a lot on faction servers and other PvP servers. I got a lot of experience with mine craft generally, different multiplayer servers, and especially with factions, because that was my favorite. One more time, I got a new game, or a new server, from my brother. I was totally shocked when I first tried it, because I had never seen something like that before. It was guns in mine craft! I couldn't believe it, and I was soon addicted to it. Now I had experience with that too. At the same time as I played Mc-war, I also opened my own server. I remember it was very fun to create it, download plugins, make the rank system as I wanted it to be, and most important, I learned a lot about what it actually takes to be a member of a servers staff. After a long time with mine craft, I have got a lot of experience in many different ways. Everything from crafting blocks to own a server.

What is your experience with moderating servers? -As I said, I owned a server before. I kept it running for some months, I think. It wasn't the most popular server of course, but it could be up to 20 players online on a very good day. I learned much about being patient, and what to do to be a good owner, and make the server enjoyable. On a faction server, that's what I had, it's more hackers than most people believe. There is hackers and advertisers almost everywhere, and that is the most annoying thing about being a member of a staff . They come online, and all they do is destroying the server. I learned that if a hacker gets punished 1 time, he/she will mostly not stop with hacking. He/she will just be more careful about using their obvious hacks. When you have players like that on a server, it requires real, trustable staff to be online as much as possible. When players like that came to my server, I needed staff fast, so I hired an admin a little bit too fast. I thought he would be a good admin because he had been online for a while, and he had never hacked or shouted out bad things to other players. I trusted him, and what I received was a blown up world. I am actually happy that he made that decision, because I learned 1 thing from that. It is the people you trust you should be careful with, because you can never know if they do something unexpected. You don't need to be careful about people you don't trust, because you know what they are going to do.

From that moment I only gave the admin ranks to people I know in real life, but I hired some moderators that only could kick, warn and jail other players. That worked very well, and I didn't received any blown upped worlds  After some time I decided to shut the server down, because I didn't had enough time to host it (I hosted it with my computer, and my computer had to be on). I got very much experience from that time, and I understood more of the moderators, administrators, and the owners job when having a server.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? -I will provide all my knowledge and experience with mine craft and moderating. I will use my power for a better community and a better server. I actually haven't seen many hackers that use aimbot or forcefield on this server, because it doesn't give a very big advantage, but what I have seen is a lot of advertisers, grenade glitchers, rude players and players that rage over even the smallest things I have ever heard of.

If I were given the moderator rank, I would do everything I could possibly do to make this server free from cheaters and players that aren't nice to other players. I would also do everything I could do to make players stop calling other players for hackers or anything like that. I know that someone likes to be called a hacker, and takes it as a compliment, because being called a hacker is actually the same as being called "As good as a hacker". Even though someone likes it, it is always players the doesn't. And therefor, I would do my job to make them stop with these comments.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? -To be honest, yes I have. I have even uploaded a video of myself using it. BUT I was using it on a mob arena on MY OWN server. I reopened my server when mc-war changed hosts, and I was the only player online. I did it to learn a little bit more about what kind of hacks people with a hacked client uses, and I used it to create a cool video. That was my first time with a hacked client, and I haven't used it since that. I have no plans to use it on a public multiplayer server because it's not fair, it's cheating, and I don't find it any cool to be better because of cheating. I prefer being well with no advantage  All of my videos of mc-war (35, I think) are completely free from hacks. I have used damage indicator on mc-war, but that was before it was illegal.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? -Yes, I have. It was a multiplayer server hosted by some Danish players. My friends and I really enjoyed it, and we used a lot of time on it. After a lot of crafting and experience on that server, we got some really good armor and swords. We kept killing the admins, and they couldn't kill us without using commands. Then one of them banned us with no reason. I really felt sorry for this poor guy. We got unbanned by the owner some days after, and I think he demoted the admin for his action. However I don't think I have been banned for not following the rules on any server, and that's because that's just me. I don't like people that don’t follow the rules, so I am not one of them. That actually describes me good, because I am nice to other people, and mostly they are nice back. If someone is shouting a lot of **** to me, I either don't care, or I will simply ask him or her why he or she shout to me and say sorry if it was something I did to him or her.

How active do you consider yourself in-game? -I consider myself as a very active player on the mc-war server. I am also playing a lot of fpsHG, and a little bit WarZ. But I am most active on mc-war. I am considering myself as very active because I am playing a lot of hours everyday, and I have been playing for a very, very long time now. I don't think many players have played mc-war as much as I have.

How active do you consider yourself on TS3? -I am on teamspeak every day, and I am on team speak when I am playing on one of the mcbrawl servers, unless if I am in a Skype call or recording a new video. Sometimes, I am also on teamspeak when I am doing my homework. However, if I am not on team speak, and you want to talk to me, I will be very happy if you ask me to do it. If I can't talk at that moment, I will make sure that I have time to do it later.

How active do you consider yourself on the forums? -To read the forum threads and posts is a part of the game for me now. I really like it, because I can learn from it, answer questions, come with ideas and read funny threads about things that happen in mc-war. I am always on the forums page when I am playing. I don't read every single thread, but I am reading every post I can. Some examples of threads I don't always read are "Top 10 things you don't want to do on mc-war". If I can learn something about it, then I will read it, but I will not always leave a comment. I am active on the forums, and it is 2-5 or 6 hours each day, like on teamspeak and the servers. Again, I don't have very many posts, however I am only getting more and more posts, and now I have reached 400

What do you consider your greatest strength? -I would say my greatest strength is my motivation to do my job, and to follow my instructions. If my job is something that I like to do, or if I will achieve something from it, my motivation is on the top. In addition I am very focused to do the job properly.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -My weakness is my experience and knowledge with hacked clients. I don't know very much about them, so I don't know all the types of hacks you can do with them. If someone is doing something strange on a server, I will search it up and see if it's a part of a client or not. However I do know some of the most important hacks, because I have used a hacked client to learn more about it, and therefor be more able to catch them when they are using them in game.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? -If a player were making a minor transgression for the first time, I would tell the player clearly to stop with what he/she is doing, and warn the player properly about the consequences if he/she doesn’t stop.

How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? -If the same player keeps doing it, I will kick the player with a new, clear warning.

How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? -If the same player does it again I will consider a ban for 30 or 60 minutes and report the player to an admin or a super-mod, or kick the player and report him/her to a super-mod or an admin.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? -If someone proves me wrong on the forums, I would go deeper in the case and see who of us that has right. If I have right, I will give the player the proves me a source that says I am right, but if the other player has right, I will apology for making a case out of it, still be nice and happy, and then leave the conversation if I don't have anything more to say.

What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? -If someone breaks a rule on the forums, I will warn the player about the consequences, and then require that the player delete his/her post. I will also report the post/thread.

When would you lock a thread? -

I would lock a thread if:

-The creator asks of a lock

-The question has been answered or solved

-The thread has started a flame war

    -The thread is off-topic

-If the topic has been suggested before

-The thread is a grave-dig thread

Describe yourself in 3 words: Patient, kind, helpful.

Anything else we should know about you? -I am living in Norway, and therefore my English grammar may have some holes, but I am working on that almost every day at school. I want to be a paratrooper in the military, and get a job as an economical adviser. I really like to help other players with the game generally, and I also like to help them with achieving their goals.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? -A situation like that would always be my number 1 priority. Firstly I would warn the player about the consequences and ask the player to get inside of map or type /spawn immediately. If the player choose to ignore me, or refuse to do it, I will give them one last warning. If the player still ignores me, I will act with a kick with an explanation that clearly explains the reason for the kick. If the player goes on again and continue with these immature actions, I will temporarily ban the player for 30 minutes, and report the player to a higher staff member to discuss the punishment.

Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? -I don't know how all the plugins works. I do know some of them. However I know all the commands you need to be a proper moderator.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? -Yes, I am fully aware of that. However I will not abuse my power or be a disrespectful player. I will be fully focused to be a respectful and nice moderator. With being a mc-war moderator comes much responsibility, and I understand I will be immediately demoted if I am a disrespectful moderator.

In my eyes this is a great application, long with a lot of information and with no lies.
After you came back on McBrawl I've seen you're getting more and more online even though we're living in different timezones, same with teamspeak, I haven't seen you as much on it as the servers, but I guess it because the timezones.
Your forum activity can be a bit higher, try to post on more threads and act a bit more active on the forums.
    +1 from me.

Ooo, you want to be a para.. we need to speak on TS some time, we could have some good conversations.
Applicaiton has nice length and detail, you seem to be sufficiently active on the forums. I can't really comment on in-game because I don't get enough time to play war to notice individuals activity unless we're tracking them. Good applcations, nice job.

Would still like to see you get more active on the Teamspeak.
