A bit of inspiration from Battlefield Heroes, since it's so simple yet works well.

So, how did the war of MC-War truly start?

One day, the two true veterans, Red and Blue, were out eating lunch together. They were best buddies, and did almost everything together. In addition they were leaders of two factions named after them, Red and Blue. They swore to keep the peace that had been there for thousands of years.
    But then, something happened....

A man in dark clothing had managed to snag a Barrett M82A1 anti material rifle, despite the fact that a weapon like that was a banned weapon. He hated both Red and Blue for oppressing his faction, the Green faction, and making it almost completely gone. So, aiming carefully, he shot the .50 BMG bullet, killing both Red and Blue instantly.

When everyone found out, there was outrage. On Red's side, everyone blamed the Blues, claiming that they double crossed them. Meanwhile, Blue blamed Red, claiming that Red was using them the whole time.

Soon after, Red and Blue went to war against each other. Quickly manufacturing 4th generation weapons, they modified them and brought them to the battle. Initially, the war was fought with old 3rd generation weapons, which were the AK-47, an assault rifle; the Barrett M82A1, a anti material rifle rechambered with a weaker round for more effective usage; the Model 1887, a classic shotgun; and the Desert Eagle, a powerful handgun. Their objectives were to either wipe the opposing force or bring valuable intel from an enemy base to their own base.
As the war progressed, new 4th generation weapons designed to create extra variety and allow for more versatile soldiers were manufactured. These were the M16A4, a 3 round burst assault rifle; the M4A1, essentially a shorter fully automatic M16A4; the FAMAS, a powerful bullpup assault rifle; the L118A, a bolt action sniper rifle chambered for a smaller bullet; the Dragunov, a semi automatic sniper rifle; the MSR, a quick commando sniper rifle; the M1014, a powerful pump action shotgun; the SPAS-12, a shotgun with a decently high firerate; the AA-12, a fully automatic shotgun; the USP .45, a small semi automatic handgun; the M9, a balanced 9mm handgun; the .44 Magnum, a slow yet powerful revolver; the minigun, a weapon that could easily lay down suppressive fire; the flamethrower, a deadly weapon that set enemies on fire; and the M72 LAW, an anti-tank rocket launcher adapted for usage against infantry.
Eventually new deadly weapons were introduced, which were the grenade, the molotov, the flashbang, and the tomahawk. In addition, soldiers were equipped with special armor that granted them perks, like receiving ammo after a kill, less damage from incoming bullets, etc.

As the war raged on, numerous weapons received upgrades. These weapons were the M16A4, the AK-47, the L118A, the Dragunov, the SPAS-12, the M1014, and the Desert Eagle. They were upgraded into the Lamentation, an assault rifle with a killer firerate; the Skull Crusher; a deadly 3 round burst variant of the M16A4 with a larger bullet; the L120 Isolator, similar to the Barrett; the Disassembler, essentially a Dragunov with an assault rifle magazine; the SPAS-24, the SPAS-12 with improved range; the Typhoid, a burst shotgun; and the Python, a deadly handgun with the power of a revolver and the firerate of a normal handgun. Also created was the Executioner, a revolver that fired shotgun shells.

Many years later, the war had come to a stalemate, with both factions stuck in intense fighting. Several new weapons were introduced and many more were modified. These new weapons were the Ray Gun, the crossbow, and C4 plastic explosives. These weapons created additional destruction throughout the field of war.

While all this was going on, the Green faction was working on a supplement that would give them enhanced powers. However, it turned into an infection. By the time the remaining scientists had cured the infection, all of the Green faction had zombie-like faces, and while they had a speed boost and could "infect" anyone they touched, most couldn't resist explosives well, and in the havoc all of their guns were destroyed.
However, they still retained intelligence and thus they were able to use the equipment they had left.

Right as Red and Blue were about to make peace, both tired of the war, the Green faction struck. Most of them were wiped out, and the remaining Reds and Blues grouped together, fighting off the Green faction.

Finally, the Green faction was wiped out by a tactical nuke.

However, it was different now for the survivors. The main group of survivors decided to stick together and they made their own camp far from the destruction, to recover. However, some who survived were now alone, not knowing who was an ally and who was an enemy. They grabbed armor from both Red and Blue factions, as well as guns. While some people were well off, others lacked armor and could only find pistols and some equipment. In addition, others found that where there were weapons, there were enemies. To get a new weapon, they'd have to kill an enemy and steal his weapon.
Thus, this started a dark era, known only as the Apocalypse.

So that was kind of a short but not really that short story on what happened to spark the conflicts in MC-War.
Covered gamemodes are TDM, CTF, Infected, FFA, Gun Game, and One In. (okay, all gamemodes)
