Hey guys! I am planning on purchasing a gaming computer soon. I want your recommendations on brands, certain computers, etc. However, I am not going to build my own computer. I simply don't have the time. Here are the things that the computer will need to do :
    1. Play Minecraft on maxed settings with high FPS (Would love to play with Shaders too).
    2. Render things in Cinema 4D much faster and efficiently (As most of you know, I run a render shop).

My price range would have to be anything under $1,000.

Thank you for any help that you can give me!

    Current Specs :

While I'm no expert, $1000 is definitely going to get you a nice rig. Try Austin Evan's builds on YouTube, he makes badass builds for super cheap. Compare your specs which you use to render and see if you find a build that has higher specs.

How exactly would I send him a request? He didn't have a website from what I can see. Also, I added a screenshot of my current computer's specs on the OP.

Building a computer is probably your best bet. I also recommend Austin's build. In general, building one is just a bit cheaper for this price range, but the specifications can scale well relative to a pre-built computer. Ignore this if you definitely do not want to build one.

Edit: If you're interested I have a build for around $800 that I can edit that will definitely exceed your standards.

Unfortunately, I have no desire to build a computer. I just don't have the time. Thanks for the help though.

It took me about an hour and a half to build mine, but I don't know if you think that takes too much time. Sorry if I'm completely wrong.

If you built a computer, you could pay $400-500 for a custom computer that fits your needs and is similar to a pre built computer that is >$1000.
Most gaming computers are really just a custom made computer made to fit what game(s) you're playing.
Honestly, all you need is a computer with a good processor (i5 or i7 are good), plenty of RAM (8 gb works), and a decent to good video card. (something with around 256mb or more)
If you choose to get a video card that's more than 512mb large, you could also use your computer to play games with intensive graphics like BF3, at medium-high settings.
Although it isn't a gaming PC, your computer could be used as a pretty good rig for gaming and such by installing a new graphics card and power supply to go with it.

    Lol what he said.
You need to make sure you have a good motherboard and expandable case. (You don't want to have to switch them out later.)
Also, save room in your budget for a monitor or two if you don't already have one. Don't forget cables!

Computers are fairly easy to assemble, they're quite like adult Legos.

And of course, don't forget a good quad core processor.

Windows 7 64 Bit is much better, correct?

Alright. What are your opinions on this computer?

Guys, I can't build my own computer. I don't have the time. I might attempt to this summer, however I can't during school.

Can you add something to your current PC?
Your computer really only needs a good graphics card and maybe a power supply to support it.

    Is my processor good enough?

As for that computer, it looks pretty good. However -
    • It has 8.1. 8.1 isn't bad, but if you like 7 better this isn't a good choice,
    • No monitor, mouse or keyboard. You'd better have one.
    • You could wait for summer and build one similar to this, for cheaper
Both your computer and your suggested computer have an i5 processor. Although your suggested computer has a better processor, I believe your current computer is good enough to run games (not counting graphics). Is that a quad core or dual core?

You'll also need a network/wifi adapter, as this computer doesn't have built in wifi.

I can change the OS on the Fiend to 7 64 Bit. On the site, you can choose.

Quad Core. Atleast, I think it is a Quad Core.

Your current computer with an improved graphics card would probably be better.
Cheaper, and more tailored to your uses.

That's surprising, considering I have a stock Lenovo desktop. Would the graphics card do anything about my render time?

I have no idea, but I believe it's the processor that does that. And in that case, an i7 processor would be better than an i5.
