    It's not very often that it happens, but it does from times to times. Asking for followers on the forums, it can be done in many different ways, but i think it's wrong. People should follow whoever they want to follow, i think asking for followers on the forums shouldn't be allowed. Every time you do it, the comment / conversation gets removed, and the user receives one warning point, just like you get for spamming etc. Here are a few examples of things i've seen people do to gain followers.
    • User follows random user, only to unfollow once the other account follows back (if he/she does)
    • User comments for that user to follow them, "You're not following me? </3" "Not one of your friends?" Etc, you get the point.

    Even if someone asks you to follow them, it's still completly your choice if you follow them or not. If you say no, and they then begin to abuse you / threaten you if you say no, then it becomes an issue that can be taken to an Smod / Admin but until that point I don't believe it is really that much of an issue.

    Well, if it's like that above, it should be not allowed, but if it's something more formal, as Peas said, it's completely your choice to follow them or not.

    Does this happen often? I mean I have had a few people ask on my profile, but thread wise I have not seen an abundance.

    It depends how you ask it, if you ask it like a crazy 10 year old kid then yes this should be bannable.

    I originally voted yes, but I'm going to change my answer to no. Followers don't really have an effect on the servers or the forums really, so asking for followers in fine. (Since having lots of followers doesn't mean anything anyways).

    Does it really matter?
    I don't see this as anything big. Of course if it gets worse, you can ask a super mod or admin to handle it. But something like this is trivial and really doesn't matter.

    It does not matter, i don't care if they have 10 or 100 followers, the thing that makes me rather frustrated is that they leave pointless posts everywhere.
