Ranks are too easy to get now

I believe a creative overhaul will be coming soon and this might include more ranks to apply for. This definitely could help with the problem you're stating.

As for handing out ranks, the creative managers review every application. I feel like they know what they're doing with ranks.

 

This is something I completely agree with. Most of the time, I don't see this as much of a problem with WE2/WEPro apps. However, I see this occur with AdvBuilder/WE1 apps (specifically AdvBuilder).

I believe this is because people only give a quick glance at the screenshots, and usually see average, mediocre builds as something that's detailed for the rank's expectations. This problem is contributed to post boosting, where the user simply replies with a +1 without giving a valid reason.

Creative managers are stretching the quote "AdvBuilder is a relaxed rank" definitely makes this problem worse. Because of this, people automatically assume that if you build something that's very easy and in only a very short amount of time, it's considered decently detailed even though it's not.

 

I'll admit that we are relaxed about the ranks AdvBuilder & WE1, but we try to take WE2 and WEPro more seriously.

Yup, the AdvBuilder is awarded when we think you spent a decent amount of time on a build, and some time on an app.

 

IMO, advbuilder has features that everyone should have anyway. I don't think that they've taken "Advbuilder is a relaxed rank" too far at all. I also don't believe ranks have become easier to get, it's just we have more good builders.

I also don't see why building ranks have to be that hard to get. It's not anything like moderator ranks.

 

I'm a terrible builder and I'm WEPro. So yes.

I kind of agree with this, when I applied for creative ranks your application need to be good, your builds need to be amazing for WE 2 +, and you had to be very active.
These days you can get AdvBuilder and WE 1 easily, however I think it is fine the way creative managers are handling it.

 

I agree! much people is being AdvBuilder/WE1 with builds that are not "Awesome".
I would like to work very much to recive the reward because when i have to work hard for something I am more satisfied and I appreciate more the reward.
It's the same thing you do with a girl/boy:when you strive to earn the confidence ,and you earn it, you feel proud of what you did.

If they (for some strange reason) want to reset ranks i would agree to lose my WePro rank only to receive those ranks again and feel proud to have received them!

I know i haven't explained what i think with good grammar but I hope you get the idea.

 

I believe the only reason i got advbuilder very quickly is because i posted 10 different creations i have made in the past 3 years, and spent a lot of time on. I also did receive comments about how my builds were, and think they do look at them.

meh. I don't think that's true. The creative managers accept them for a reason. Also, the ranks AdvBuilder and WE1 aren't that hard to get. But the managers do take WE2+ apps super seriously.

P.S. My AdvBuilder builds weren't really "good". But I'm happy because as I became more active on the server, getting inspired by a lot of builds around me, I think I did improve my building skill a LOT more. My AdvBuilder app and my WE1 app are totally different. But good different. I truly love this server so much by the way.. ^___^
