I bet this thread will be rated pointless by many people but I feel like that moderators getting access to the "donor" kits is kind of OP. I mean when every moderator applies or tries to the form clearly says not to abuse your powers. Kit=power and its only for moderators. That makes them have a large advantage over players because every game I play that has a moderator on they have ghille so I feel like this is just abuse of moderator power.

(I am not trying to insult anyone)

Technically, this isn't abuse. You can find a Dragonuv quite easily in fps, and with the addition of a Dragonuv for the Ghille class, they have a leather helmet and boots. This leaves them EXTREMELY vulnerable, even to an M9. Donor kits are also being released when they decide to release them.

I do agree that there's really no point in giving them access to the kits before everyone else. I mean, it's not like giving you access to a more op kit is going to help you to catch rule breakers more easily. Besides, if the point of giving them access to these kits were to test them, couldn't the admins and coders do this themselves?

However, I disagree about the abusing part. If they were granted access to be able to use these kits whenever they want, you can't just say that constitutes as abusing. Abusing (in McBrawl) means that a mod is using /kick without a valid reason to why. I see nothing of the sort happening.

@HereCreeper the kits and perks they get is kind of like a payment if they keep the servers clean and work very hard they deserve some type of payment if you think it is unfair and you want kits and perks you can apply for mod and try very hard to keep the servers clean.

First you should know that it wasn't planned that only mods have access to those donor kits. It was planned that you could donate for them and even get one through voting. But then Minecraft came with new EULA and it was officially illegal to sell those kits. So its not like those are supposed to be extra powers only given to staff.

And then I must say that the kits aren't OP. They are of course a bit better than the normal kits, but you still need skill and luck to be good with them. For example I just played a round where I got like 10 kills only with dragunov headshots (@YxTimxY), but in the next round I was killed right at the beginning by a enemy with MSR cause the ghillie armor is very bad. So those extra kits aren't like a insta win. There are also only a few moderators playing on fpshg so I don't see how this is a big problem.

Then you said that we are abusing our powers through using the kits and thats definitely wrong. A kit isn't a power - its a chance. If you use it right, you may win, if you don't, you propably die.

Yeah. I dont exactly call this moderator abuse any-more but it is kind of an advantage.

In a sense it may seem like it right now, due to the fact that donor classes are available to mods only, for donations are yet to be set up for fpsHG. It is an advantage, but once donations are set up that will no longer be a thing. They are merely donators with more power from there on.
A kit does not always ensure a win. I have died plenty as a Ghillie, and you can die rather easily. The classes that you are able to buy can take out a Ghillie rather easily. Chests contain a good variety of items, so you can most likely find a Dragonuv rather easily.

Or they could be playtesting the kits and are trying to find ways to tweak the kits to fit in with the others
