    I was thinking we should update all of brawl or at least the creative server to 1.8 (where you cant log on in 1.7 series) I am suggesting this so we builders can use the new 1.8 blocks and barriers and such

    We are not able to do this without bukkit or spigot fully updating to 1.8

    Since Bukkit and Spigot are dead because Mojang, there is not going to be an 1.8 API so far.
    We have to wait until like January/February.

    Bukkit and spigot are dead, so we would need to wait for a new API. Once the sponge API @Akelbakelhuhn suggested is up, then we would be able to. Besides, a lot of people would really not like that, because they need optifine to get a good framerate, and i would know, without optifine my framerate is horrible

    Having bukkit is one issue, but next is we would need all mcbrawl servers in 1.8, not just some. Also because creative is like our only server that uses bukkit plugins we can't for a bit.

    NO. The reason is not only spigot and bukkit but we don't have an Optifine Version for 1.8 and i don't like to build with lag. I think we have to wait...and wait much because there's a big change on minecrfat. Microsoft buyed Mojang: all things connected to minecraft maybe have to change.....

    Oh I did not know bout dis. Ok so we update in 4-5 months (according to @Akelbakelhuhn) when this "sponge" comes out?
