I'm not sure if there's a reason as to why demotion reasons are kept from the community, but this secrecy is causing unnecessary drama and a lot of rumors. It's come to the point where we have to rely on the word of the former staff member on why they got demoted(and that usually isnt 100% accurate). The only downside I could see to this is that it might be taken as publicly shaming former staff members.

So you want a public announcement whenever someone is demoted? Kinda shameful if you ask me.

Some staff don't want to tell everyone that they got demoted.

It really depends on the reason.
If they resigned, of course everyone knows that.
    If it was inactivity, sure.
However, if it was something else, it should be left as "demoted" or something instead. Those should be kept private between the ex-staff and the administration.
It should just be in Brawl news anyways

They'll still find out anyways, and they'll get pressed for answers.

Most staff demotions at this point can be guessed, and if it isn't and the member doesn't leak it, I'm sure they don't want everyone knowing. Most staff members now are demoted because of inactivity or immaturity, and it's very rare something other than that occurs. As Signatured said, it would seem as a public shaming to the staff having a big announcement just for their demotion. If you really want to know, ask the person in PM or something,

Sometimes a reason for a demotion is wrongfully conjured. When one has a reason that is not true, some problems always have reasons to arise.
To an extent, sometimes it does need to know. When a wrongful reason is made, people will get angry. With a true reason, there will usually be a good amount of understanding.

Maybe some staff members want to keep their domotions reasons between them and the admins.
I don't think it's necessary to release a staff members domotions reason(s) to the public. If they want the public to know they can inform the community themselves.

It's not really any of your business to know someone else's demote reason...kinda rude to publicly embarrass someone like that. You can always PM someone if you want to know why they were demoted.

Just give it an agree rating then instead of making a pointless post.

Tbh, if you want to know why an individual was demoted, just PM them. It's not a big deal whether you know or not anyway.

I think this is the kind of thing that needs to stay private, saying why you were demoted should be personnel

I don't think we should give the reason to the public in something like an announcement. If the admins tell the people that got demoted the reason why they got demoted they can make their own choice if they want to tell it to everybody or keep it secret.

The thing is that some ex mods don't even know why they're demoted.

How is that relevant to us making demote reasons public?

    Completely agree with this.
I am sure that if I am demoted, I wouldn't necessarily want McBrawl to publicize the reasons without my go-ahead.
Some things need to remain private and this is definitely one of those.

Not saying make them public, saying that they need to tell the moderators for the reason of their demotion. Since sweetlava doesn't know of the reason of their demotion. You've misunderstood.

I can understand the appeal and want to know why someone was demoted, however, in a lot of cases, it's kept private for a reason. Usually due to the one being demoted not wanting it to be public. No need to embarrass them further and make it public, regardless of us wanting to know the juicy details  If the Moderator wants us to know the reason, they will tell us most likely in a post, or if you simply ask them. If for some reason, the Mod was demoted and doesn't even know why.. It's just like a job, sometimes if it just didn't work out, nothing we can do. ❤

Justin, Justin da hell ya doing ? You want to embarrass former mods and make them publicly humiliated ! Say if you were talking trash about another person and Gigga or the Admins found and you got demoted . You would look like a bad guy but no one knows tho . But if this idea wuz here you would make them look like a bad guy .
