    It really just looks like a simple Paint edit.
    I would recommend adding shadowing to make it more well done, and use a darker green.

    They look like you stole the guns from the old McWar texture pack and just used the paint bucket badly to make parts of them green...

    However, since this is a first project, you're doing pretty well...
