    So if you didn't guess from the title or the video, today is officially Leif Erikson Day!
    Not many people have even heard of this holiday, but Spongebob Squarepants caused it to quickly gain popularity.

    For those who do not know who Leif is, he is a Norse explorer who is believed to be the first European to have landed in North America. He named this place Vinland, which is north of present-day Newfoundland.

    Like Norsemen, Norse mythology, etc. Also, I thought Vikings were Scandinavian, not Norwegian.
