Three jobs to choose from, which one?

    So recently I was offered to take care of the ranch that my family owns all on my own, because it is traditional that once you retire as ranch head, you pass it down to your first born and let him work it. (Not females :V ha ha sis) I get a lot of money from this and I know how to do everything and work everything, just three problems, I don't have enough hands and I'm not comfortable at hiring people at this age. Also slaughter houses require someone who is 18+ to enter their cattle in the auction. And uhm, I just don't think I'm ready for it.

    Bottom of the line is should I ask my dad to continue to work it for about2 more years, or should I take it now?

    Then I also have my other two jobs, I currently have a job at Ace Hardware and I get a decent pay.

    Then I was offered manager over the summer at Hill Ranch Grocery and the boss said come back anytime when I left.

    So which job do I take, I currently work at AceHardware.

    Sounds pretty sweet. I'd say continue to work on the family business, until you feel comfortable with taking the reigns all on your own. That would be really sweet. For now, just familiarize yourself and build up that confidence. And at that point, you may feel free to continue with that heritage.

    If you get payed more at hill ranch as manager than you do at hardware then go to hill ranch. Its obvious the boss likes you so after awhile you can even ask for a pay rise.

    I don't know how old you are but I would say that you should not handle the family business on your own until you are 18+.

    Go to the one which you enjoy the most and get payed decent amount of money

    I'm only 16 :smile:

    I came with the decision last night, I am going back to the store. Forget ace for now :stuck_out_tongue:
    I am going to take my dad's job when I graduate from high school and I might not go to college... (You dun need a degree to be a farmer btw, just knowledge .
