    Remove the thread creation alerts from the Shoutbox.
    I keep seeing threads there that were deleted by higher ups for having inappropriate content, discussing hackers and stuff. You know. When it's deleted, the thread is still shown in the New Threads area but eventually disappears. However, it stays in the Shoutbox.
    IMO a deleted thread shouldn't be seen in the Shoutbox, especially since all deleted threads are threads that don't exist anymore.
    And for those who look for new threads with the Shoutbox...

    I completely agree. The shoutbox should be for people who want to talk to each other and a place where it should be spammed by new threads being posted. If people want to find new threads, all they have to do is look in the 'New Threads' bar, which is easier than looking in the shoutbox.

    Completely agree. As Audi said, the chatbox should be a place for chat, not a announcement for threads place.

    What if we delete the post in the shoutbox when we unapprove a thread? I'm not sure if it is removed from the 'new thread' box, though.

    It automatically disappears.
    However,the message in the shout box doesn't disappear since it is a /me message. That's why I'm suggesting this

    Yeah, imagine if it is used to warn you if one of the people you are following is online. That could be annoying.

    Honestly, I am not a fan of this idea. I would prefer that the deleted thread automatically disappear from the shoutbox because the new threads in the shoutbox go back farther than the threads in the new threads section. Oftentimes, a lot farther back. Maybe if this was implemented, the new thread section would have a longer history? I would prefer not to miss out on viewing any new threads.

    My first suggestion still stands. Would it be alright if we just delete posts of new threads (in the shoutbox) if we hide the thread?

    If a staff member actually remembered to do it, that could also be a viable solution.

    If you wanted to go further back in the history of thread creation, couldn't you just go to the 'New Posts' tab? Or is there a problem in doing that.

    It's more difficult to discern what are new threads that way since it includes mainly posts.
