    McBrawl Moderator Application:

Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? -

In-game: I would say I am active. I have been going on every day for the past year, and has become the only Minecraft server I play on. As for helpfulness, whenever I am on an McBrawl server, I always have my eye on chat, answering any question that players may have, even when I’m in battle.

TeamSpeak: I consider myself very active on TeamSpeak. Whenever I am on the computer, I am on TeamSpeak. When I am doing something away from Minecraft, I am in the lobby. When in the lobby, I often see a lot of new users that don't know how TeamSpeak works, and I show them how to use it. When I am playing Minecraft, I either join a channel with a few of my friends, or join a public channel.

Forums: I would say that I am very active on the forums. I have managed to post 555 times. I go on the forums a couple hours a day, looking for people who need help, browsing threads, chatting in the shout box, and more. Staying active on the forums is easy for me, because I like interacting with other players.

Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? - It's hard to say, maybe about 10 in-game hacker reports? Whenever I get into a fight, I always have FRAPS open, ready to record.

For forums, I am constantly looking for and reporting threads that need to be locked, or moved, and have found quite a few.

How old are you? - I am currently 13 years old. This may seem a bit young at first, but there have been lots of cases of moderators being 13 years old.

What time zone are you in? - I am in Eastern Standard Time(EST). I am usually on TeamSpeak and in-game at around 1:00 PM, so some of you may not see me on.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - I have been playing Minecraft for about four years now. When I started Minecraft, I kept swapping servers, trying to find a truly great Minecraft server that I would play on for months. I found Factions, which was really fun, and I stayed with that server until it shut down. I kept joining different servers until my friend, AcpSoldier7 found a server called Multiplayer-Servers. Once I played it, I was instantly hooked. I have been playing McBrawl for a year now, contributing to the server with YouTube videos, donations, hacker reports and more.

What is your experience with moderating servers? – I have owned two servers, a faction server, and a moderately-successful WarZ practice server. If you need proof, you can find videos of us playing on the servers on my channel, TheKADCrew. Owning these servers have given me a lot of knowledge on how servers operate, moderating skills and more.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? – I will try my hardest to provide a safe, clean chat for people who are online the same server as me. At the moment, the WarZ chat is full of spam and threats, and I aim to stop this. Of course, I will answer as many questions as possible.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? – Yes, I have. A few years ago, I used x-ray and fly. When I first got it, I thought it was amazing, having the power to find all the ores in the game in mere seconds. Eventually, I deleted the client from my computer, and I’m glad I did. Now, I realize that hacking completely ruins the fun of the game, and also drives other players who are not hacking insane.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? – Yes. When I used my x-ray and fly hack, I was banned on lots servers, for obvious reasons. That was another reason I stopped hacking.

How active do you consider yourself in-game? – As I said above, I consider myself active in-game, as I am on every day. When I am playing, I always have my eye on chat, answering questions, and doing general things to help other players. Some of you may not see me online, because I go on at different times than most. I am usually on the McBrawl servers at around 1:00 PM EST.

How active do you consider yourself on TS3? – I consider myself very active on TeamSpeak. Whenever I am on the computer, I am on TeamSpeak. I usually sit in the lobby, seeing if any new players join that have any questions. When I am playing McBrawl, I join either a public channel, or a private channel when I am playing with my friends. Some of you may not see me on TeamSpeak, for the same reason I stated for in-game.

How active do you consider yourself on the forums? – I would consider myself very active on the forums, as I am on for about 2 hours a day. I am constantly checking threads, chatting on the shout box and more.

What do you consider your greatest strength? – I would say my greatest strength is my flexibility. Being home-schooled does come with its perks. I can start and finish when I like, which means moderating the servers at different times than most. I can be on early in the morning, or late at night.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? – At times when I’m in a bad mood, I can get annoyed very easily. I lose patience with the person, and don’t answer the question to the best of my ability. This may not be that much of an issue, because it rarely happens.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? – I would private message the player, saying that what they are doing is wrong, and not to do it again.

How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? – I will give yet another warning. This time saying that if you don’t listen to the server rules, I will kick them from the server.

How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? – I will proceed by kicking the player from the server. The amount of time depends on the severity of the issue.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? – I would respond, thanking them for informing me, trying not to start a flame-war.

What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? – If it was minor, I would private message the user, referring the user the forums rules. I would also either lock the thread, or tell them to edit it. If it was major, I would contact either an Admin, or S-Mod.

When would you lock a thread? – I would lock a thread under the following circumstances:
    • If the thread was grave-dug.
    • If a flame-war started on the thread.
    • If it was requested by the thread owner.
    • If the thread has gone off-topic.
    • If the thread has been answered.
    • If the thread is a duplicate of another.
Describe yourself in 3 words: Helpful, active and dedicated.

Anything else we should know about you? – Other than that my name is John, I don’t think so. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? – I would respond with the following:
    1. Tell the player that it is against the rules, and that the player should use the /spawn command, to return to the lobby. I would also ask how the user got out of the map, so I could report it on the forums.
    2. If the player doesn't listen, I will give a more obvious warning. Saying that if he/she doesn't abide by the rules, I will kick him/her from the server.
    3. If the player still is not listening, I will proceed by kicking the player from the server.
    4. If he joins again, I will watch him, seeing if he breaks the rules again. If he does, I will temporarily-ban him for one hour.
Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? – Yes, I believe I understand all the commands needed to obtain the position of moderator.

Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? – Yes, I am fully aware.

Haven't seen you in-game much or on teamspeak often before. Forums does look good activity wise but overall I'm going to go with...

    Teamspeak -1

    Forum +1

    In-Game -1

    Overall -1

I see you on TeamSpeak and in-game quite often, probably 2-3 times a week. Maybe you just don't look for me?

Your forums activity is good, I can hardly judge your ingame activity, but I have never seen you on Teamspeak to be honest. If you make your application a bit more detailed and get your ts activity up, it will propably be a +1.
    For now +0

Hey KingYudo! I can see you have applied for WarZ moderator. I am going to go through how you did in four stages, and how well you did in them.

    Forums: +0

You're active on the forums with over 550 posts currently. You seem to also post some helpful and useful information, however, this could be done more. If you were to become a moderator though you would need to constantly respond to people who need help.

    Teamspeak 3: -1

I rarely see you on Teamspeak whatsoever. You state that you are mainly on Teamspeak at 1PM EST which is 6pm for me, and I am always online at this time. I may not be looking properly, but at this time I have never seen you online.

    In-game: +0

I don't play WarZ much at all so I can't really state how you are in-game, as well as your attitude. I have seen you online WarZ once, but you didn't really see you talk in chat. I don't think this is a fair way of me judging your helpfulness though.

    Application: +0

You go into depth with some of the questions which is good, but many of the replies are too generic. What will give you a much bigger chance is to add something which is new, and unique to your application.

    Overall : +0

I could see you becoming a moderator in the future certainly, but I don't think you are just quite ready yet. If you work on the things that I have stated above, then you will have a better chance next time.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback! I go on at around 1:00 PM EST, which is around 8:00 PM your time. That may be the reason you don't see me on TeamSpeak.

I see you often on ts and ingame, and the app's pretty good.
I see no or very few faults, you have my +1
Best of luck to you, King!
I might consider making votes publicly viewable though.

Thanks for the feedback! I tried to edit the poll to make it so we could view the vote publicly. The option isn't there anymore though.

I'm going to have to agree with ehvahn on this one. Your application is really detailed and thought out. As for your activity, I can see that you're fairly active on the forums (500+ posts), I see you on TS constantly and I can't really judge your WarZ activity, but since your forums/ts activity is high, I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're actively playing WarZ.

    +1, Good luck!

    Alright lets go over this
Ts3 activity : -1 (I barley see you on ts3 could be because of timezones)
In-game : I see you in-game a decent amount but could be more active. +0
    Forums :Good amount, +1
Application : +0 could be more detailed, does not look like you put that much time into it

Also i've seen you in-game talking a little trash and being a moderator you shouldn't be talking any trash. -1 for now improve those things and you will be good, good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, Lucky. We have the same timezone, but I'm usually on when you're in school, so that's why you probably don't see me on TeamSpeak.

For trash-talking - I honestly don't think I trash-talk. I never say "eZ" or anything of that nature, and I usually say "GG". Can you give me some examples of when I have?

For the trash talk part, last time when you were denied you had called me a bad moderator for killing you and told me to "F off". Recently I have seen you say not needed responses for example, GG, I only had 1 barret shot so :/, or I lagged at 800 ping but gg I guess. It's not to bad but I personally think being a moderator there should be none of that.

Maybe you have the wrong person? I would never say "F off", that's rude, and not something I would say. Can an admin please check the logs?

    That will take years(I think)...

    However, let's go through this.

    In-Game: +0

Well, I've seen you one time In-Game when I was playing WarZ with my friends. There was no question so I cannnot really judge your helpfulness In-Game.

    Teamspeak: -1

That two times I've seen you on teamspeak, have your mic always been muted and that is pretty bad. Get out and tall with some people! Also, these 2 times I've seen you, where you in a private channel.

    Forums: +1

You're active on the forums, but post some more helpful posts and it should be fine.

Thanks for the feedback, Juliustower! I can agree that at times I am a bit shy on TeamSpeak, but recently I have been going on public channels, and I think I'm improving. As for the application, some questions of them can be a little generic, but I think I answered all of these questions truthfully, and in my own words.

Forums - You are very active on the forums but one thing I'd suggest is to be more active on the Warz section of the forums.

In-game: I see you on sometimes, but being more active would be ideal.

    Teamspeak: Same for in-game.

Since you say you come on at 1PM EST, this is when I am usually am in school, so I'm basing these opinions off when I'm online and if I see you on.

May I ask why you come online at 1pm and how long you are generally online for? Thanks.

As you probably know, I'm home-schooled. I am usually on at around 1:00 PM EST because that's usually when I finish my school, and that's when my friends and I have openings to play McBrawl. I am on the servers for about an hour and 15 minutes. When I'm done, I go on the forums while remaining on TeamSpeak for another hour, and then I usually have to go do something. When I don't have baseball, I go on TeamSpeak and the forums again for probably another hour at around 6-7 PM.
