Gungame spawn: thoughts and ideas

If you're like me, then Gungame is one of your least favorite game modes. Why? For me, its because I spawn, my screen loads, I get shot, I die, then I spawn again. Not so fun.

I'm playing on Windows Vista (Don't hate on me now, I know how much it sucks) and my computer as a whole is really slow, so for Gungame, by the time my screen loads, I'm getting knocked into the air, and my spawn protection wears off, and then I die.

I think that this is an experience for alot of people besides me though if I'm not mistaken.

So my suggestions: Make a couple maps, or do a map competition or something, for maps that can be used for other game modes, but are designed specifically around Gungame. I think it would be cool if people could post their ideas here for what they want to see in a Gungame map.

Here's what I personally would like to see: Big, mainly open aired maps with more spawn places than there are people so that you stand a good chance of not spawning by a camper. Gungame could be alot of fun if you had to spend some time seeking people out.

I think though the best way to fix spawn camping in Gungame/getting killed immediately is if there were a bunch of small sheltered spawn chambers surrounding the edge of the map, and players could step onto a platform with sponge to then jump into the map. This way, you have a chance to get your bearings without getting killed immediately.

What are your thoughts and ideas?

 

The two second resistance doesn't do much because I'm being shot at which knocks me back and makes it hard for me to move since I'm mid air.

Alot of people have also suggested to me just to /spawn, but that means I can't play gungame, which is only a sollution if I dont want to play gungame, but I do, I only wish I had less lag.

As for ditching vista, I wish I could but there's that slight issue of money. I'm trying to save up for college right now, so buying a computer isnt an ideal option.
