    Hey Guys,
    Tuggers03 Here,

These are a few basic tips and tricks I've discovered.

    1. Branching Out

This is something I see a lot of people doing. Branching out without protection... Lemme rephrase that. Branching out carelessly. I see a lot of people doing this:

Now, I am not saying there is anything wrong with it. But the amount of times I have knocked people off with snowballs/eggs/arrows when they were doing this. However, all the danger of getting knocked off can be averted, simply by doing this:

Make sure the block barrier is on the opposite side the enemy is. Or else he'll just shoot your feet. If you're really paranoid about getting with of either way, then you can always make one on both sides. It may cost more blocks, but it's better than getting knocked off with decent gear, eh?

    2. Block hitting and Critting

This is mainly to do with basic PvP skills, but it can help is skywars.
Block hitting is where you press your left + right mouse button at the same time. This reduces incoming damage by a little bit, and also allows you to attack at the same time. This has saved my neck a few times.

Critting, is where you jump and attack. If you hit an enemy while jumping, the damage is doubled. This can allow for quick kills on unsuspecting foes. But beware. When you're in the air you can get knocked back a lot easier, so be cautious when Critting.

    3. Sharp I iron sword? Or Diamond sword?

Oddly enough, a Sharpness I iron sword deals more damage than a diamond sword. This makes the kit "Soldier" a great kit if you're going to be doing a lot of melee. An iron sword deals 7.25 damage, while a diamond sword only deals 7 damage. A small increase but it can be the difference between life and death.

Same goes for Protection. Protection I iron armor is better than Diamond armor.
Now, of course if you've got a Sharp I diamond sword and/or Protection I diamond armor, than that's even better. But if you've got a choice between Enchanted iron vs Plain diamond, then go for the iron.

    4. Soup is your greatest ally

Skywars also features instant-heal Soup. This soup can be instantly drunk and it heals you a few hearts. If you're an experienced souper, this can be a real game-changer. So, if you see any soup grab it!
One of the most effective ways to use soup when battling is to very quicky switch to the soup slot, press the right mouse button and then very quickly switch back to your sword.
This is very handy when paired with block hitting, because you don't have to think about pressing the right mouse button at the right time. You're already spamming right + left at the same time.

This is not the end! This thread will be updated when I think of some more tips. :stuck_out_tongue:

    So, that's it for now.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

    Nice Guide.
Some people don't have many building blocks doe when they spawn, so they're forced to branch out without protection.
    I enjoyed reading it.

    Thanks, bud.

Thanks. Yea, that's true. Half slabs can work though, like @LegalSkateboards said.
