Mob Stacking

    I recently made a triple spider xp farm. I let it stack up to 64 and after i kill about 3, they whole stack dies. Its really annoying and i think you should just get rid of the whole gold block think all together.

    BTW, it isnt always 3 but its always between 3-20 kills before the whole thing dies.

    This happens to me far too often as well. I found out a few things about it so far. This glitch occurs with zombies far more than skeletons. The better of a weapon you are using the less likely this glitch is to occur. I used to use a stone sword to grind mobs and this glitch happened almost every time. I know use a diamond sword with no enchants or a very low enchant and this glitch seems to not occur at all, or even close to as often. As far as why this glitch happens to mob stacks I do not know.

    I've been using a bane 4 sword to kill them and it happens every time.

    I'd also like it if they could stack infinitly instead of just 64 so its more like vanilla where you dont need gold blocks.

    I am fairly sure with some pistons and time you could make a mob storage area with stacks of 64. I was going to do that but I don't like afking anywhere of importance.

    Mob stacking is limited to 64 so you can't just afk forever and get tons of experience. It will most likely stay like this.

    I have no idea why your stacked mobs are disappearing, I only noticed that they are de-stacked when the chunk is not loaded.

    I tried that, they still just die after i kill like 3 of them.

    I know what the mob stacking is for, but it's still kinda stupid, makes it less like vanilla. And of course you dont know why they just die off, thats why im reporting it as a bug.
