Learning the CBOW....

Pretty much the only players who use this weapon a lot spam the Crossbow a majority of the time. :I

The only trick is spamming and jumping in a corridor. eZ as sh**

 

Thank god I'm not the only one who does badly with the crossbow.
I kinda wish it was a grenade launcher that could replace my lethals and tacticals.
I just fire it into choke points with a lot of people and hope for the best. However, I find it terrible at closer range combat (which I'm in often) so I just switch over to the Python.

 

I don't like it. You can jump-spam it and get cheap kills.
People who don't use it, yet are competitive and don't use cbow at all have +10% of my respect.

Jump then shoot in the air, and Walk around at the same time, then its hard to hit you!

I beleive he only has 1 vid featuring the crossbow. I do agree tough, he is indeed a good crossbow user.

You might also want to try aiming a little in front of their feet. That sometimes work out surprisingly well.

 

Sure, I could use all of those tips.

 

People rarely use the crossbow nowadays expect ( obviously ) in plaza.

 

I use it pretty often

 

Their is definitly a small learning curve that comes with the cbow. I sucked with it when I first got it too. My play style is to be a little more passive, but to avoid camping and spamming it. I usually will snipe someone with the bolt, then pull out my python incase I miss. Pay very close attention to the ping noise. If you want, you can take pot shots out in the open of the battle, then duck into cover.
Jumping and shooting works pretty well too. I suggest you always know where to go if things go wrong, as to stay alive.

Oh, and practice practice practice. It could take a couple of hours, but eventually you will do better with the c bow.

 

My tips is: Stay behind a player that doesn't jump and shooting the. You jumps and shoot in the air then the other player is a "shield" I'm using that strategy all the time on plaza_ctf

 

Honestly, just stay in good cover with an escape route. The cbow CAN wreck anything, but if you are in a sticky situation where you will get screwed over if you don't get the kill with cbow, you better run or be a python master. Also, never go within 15 blocks of enemies if possible, as cbow is best effective at a good range
