I kinda get the feeling that the people I'll talk about clump together. And with the ridealong policy, I see a way to prevent this, and clean up the community.
Why not extend the policy to flamers, serious ones.
There'd be no punishment for a simple "ez" or "noob" but the people that are extremely offensive would be punished accordingly, and team with them would be punished as well. Not as severely, but certainly some. Team that did nothing about it, that is.
Likewise, if you told a mod that was online to deal with the flamer, no punishment would be put into place. No bans or anything for more than a few minutes would ever result, but this would discourage teams consisting of flamers to be teamed with nice people.
I hope you take this idea into account, and feel free to give suggestions.
(I'll credit you if you make a good one )

Both warZ and war need something like this badly. I mean, some people are well known members due to their excessive raging and offensive language. These people needs to get some sort of punishment. These people rage like 24/7/365. They need to be told that this kind of behaviour is inappropriate and not tolerated in our community. By not taking any action exept from a mod muting/kicking them for a few minutes 2 times a week, we are actually indirectly telling them that their rude and extremely immature behaviour is ok and tolerated in our community. It actually is aswell. It is not popular, but we aren't really doing anything major about it. I therefore suggest we add an in-game warning system. Instead of /msg-ing the wrongdoer, the Mods would do /warn (player IGN) (point amount) (reason). Saying noob, hacker etc, would give you 1 warning. Glitching 5, and so on. 25 points = 1 day ban, 50 points = 7 day ban, 120 points = 30 day ban and 200 points = permanent ban.

War will die of harsh community disease if this isn't added.

I don't really like this idea... Why should I be punished if my teammate starts raging? It's not likes he's hacking, and it doesn't put myself at an advantage, like teaming with a hacker does. And let's be honest, my saying "Stop whining" will just get me warned for flame. And it's not like they're going to listen to me... I have no power to stop them, like mods do.

You'd be punished if your teammate raged and you did nothing at all. Also, just like "wow screw you noob" isn't really punishable, things more severe would be.

But again, why would they listen to me? People listen to mods because they get in trouble if they don't. My team wouldn't give a crap if I told them to calm down.

I actually like this idea, but you would have to give some leeway for it.
I mean seriously, raging once isn't that bad, but more than that isn't good.

    Yes!

Pretty sure Jayden was saying that A lot of members from war will get punished, sense a lot of people flame on it so it will better the community

Yeah, add this to War and watch it burn. :V I don't know how it would work with War, but WarZ I can see. Definite +1 from me.

Even when I wasn't a mod, my team would respect it if I told them to shut up...

90% of WarZ isn't your team. I've been in countless private channels of teams. They listen to nobody.

The whole point of the ridealong policy was so you couldnt gain the benefits of hacking without being the one thats using hacks (aka you couldnt just team with a hacker and get free loot with next to zero risk, and then just enderchest it and share it later with the hackers alt when his "main" gets banned)

This however just seems like a lazy way of mass moderating to me.

Not a lazy way of moderating, but a way to make moderating easier. The difference would be that if someone on your team was flaming, you could get a mod on and they'd have to go through every normal procedure.

Kitty brings up a good point here.
How do you have an advantage if your teammates are flaming?
If your teammates are hacking, then obviously you have an advantage because you get all that loot.
But if they're flaming, do you have any sort of advantage?
    ...No.

True, that was the original intent, but I can see where ehv is coming from. There would be benefits if this were added.
