In a players clan name tag, there is a colour. White for non-Prestige, Yellow for 30+, orange for 60+, red for 100+, green for VIP, and blue for MVP. A players membership colour or staff rank colour comes before there level colour. I think there should be a separate tag on a players name in chat that states there membership. If a player doesn't have a membership rank, or a staff rank, this principle won't apply. It would be ordered like this-
[Staff Rank (If owned)] [Membership (if owned)] [Clan name + Level colour] - Player Name> Message

The membership tag will be coloured by the rank, staff rank tags would be coloured by staff rank, and clan name would be coloured by level.

    New chat tag examples.

    [MVP] OSX Serine1002

    [
    VIP] CLT7 ExamplePlayer123

    [
MOD] [MVP] Myst SweetLava - There doesn't have to be a separate tag for staff, but its a possibility.

    [SMOD] PV2 GiggaDream

    [Admin] [MVP] Noob chickenputty

    Thanks for reading! ~Serine1002

I think levels of the player should be beside the clan prefix as well, it makes me feel bad when I am level 58 and you still look like a 30+ :frowning:

So your suggesting a tag of that players exact level?

Yes. Thier name could be the colour that they are, with the MVP or VIP beside it, and then the exact level of the player.

The point of the chat update was to keep it clean-looking, remember?

Those colors can get quite confusing for newer members. Plus they will stack the chat full of tags and what not, which will make it perhaps more difficult to chat.

    I'll remain neutral.

The new tags apply to only members with a membership/staff ranks, which isn't that common, and I have tried in my examples to show that each of these new tags have a useful point to them, while making them not look that messy.

I did check them, and I feel like they would clutter the chat.

Remember what I said in my previous post, the new tags are relevant. And they only apply for members with a staff/membership rank which isn't to many people. Each new tag, if applied to a members does have a use.

Nice idea, but just for your information: Staff Members can't use donor ranks, the Staff rank overwrites any Donor ranks.

I'll have to remember you, if you'd be adding more colors, we don't have much of them anymore. Putty made a thread about this once I think about the colored name tags. And they're running out colors since we have almost evry color as a rank/other thing.

I think that would be an okay add.

This is why there would be a separate tag.

    We are not adding colours.

Thats not a problem with tags, its a problem with the rank data.

To be honest, I had always liked names short and concise with no extra membership junk, but who knows.

I don't think seeing somebody's level is that much needed to be displayed when people can do /profile.

    The examples are incorrect:
I like this idea, when I warn a player in war sometimes/most times the player or a different player will say something similar to this: "Shut up, you ain't no mod" or sometimes they'll ask this, "Jaydenchadd, are you a staff member?" The purple color clearly doesn't help much.
I think this would solve it. +1
