How to tell what armor and swords is better than others.

First of all, the way to tell armor strength is pretty easy.
You might see something like this: http://imgur.com/gd3ZHH7 pop up when you put armor.
That shows the strength of the armor. You don't have to take of and re put on armor to test it out.
Just see how much armor plates go up.

Weapon are also very easy to tell there strength.
If you hover over a weapon you might see something like this: http://imgur.com/5GwVTqy
If the weapon is enchanted the damage will go up
This also works for

• Pick axe
• Axe
• Shovel

Since a hoe is a gardening tool it does not have that.
