Idea Implement player view distance from fps hg

    I've noticed players are visible from much further away in FPS hg than warz. This, in my opinion is a major drawback of warz, as players only become visible when they're very close, which elimates the need to snipe in most cases. This should be a simple addition if it already exists in FPS HG.

    If you could see players from long distances, that would also ruin the stealth portion of the game and players would be killed every few seconds due to people behind walls waiting.

    You can still sneak to hide your name.
    But there is no stealth portion in WarZ anyway, I mean you can track players with your compass...

    As far as I know you can change the view-distance (how many chunks the server is loading) and you can change the player rendering distance (entity tracking range). He's talking about the player rendering distance.
    I think right now players who are ~ 50 blocks away from you just disapear.

    You can fix a lot of this with your render settings as said above^
    I don't see them adding the fpshg compass because that would give many players an upper advantage seeing someone from halfway between the zone 6's
