    Terms, Conditions, and Rules:

    Written By: Darkchaosknight

Preamble: This thread will discuss all rules that apply to the forums and almost any type of situation on the MPS forums. This thread will be alive in the sense of it will always be updated. Please follow the conduct and rules and banning will not happen.

    1) Rules & Policy (All sections in general)

    a) Don’t double post (Posting twice in arrow without someone else responding)

    i) Double posting is one of the most uncivil and obnoxious ways to start on the forums. Please refrain from doing it and you will be okay.

ii) Double posting will not get you banned or removed from the forums however please do not do it as you will be seen as new too forums (You only have 1 first impression)

    (1) Example (Double-poster): This particular topic too me seems interesting Double post @ 9/23/13 I love this post sooo much! Keep it up!

iii) The best way to fix this is too just hit edit if another thought or idea has come to mind.

    b) Don’t flame (Someone who attacks others for any reason)

    i) Flaming makes you look like a complete jerk for the start off. This just means don’t do it!

ii) Flaming causes hurt feeling, hatred, and once done with first impressions is crossing the Rubicon.

    (1) Example (Guy): Thankyou for reading my mod appliacation sir!

    (2) Example (Flamer): Shut up! You cannot even spell and your grammar between thank you is awful!

iii) Please be respectful of other people so flaming does not occur.

    c) Don’t excessively curse (Self-explanatory, don’t swear because you can)

    i) Excessive cursing for one is one of the easiest ways to be seen as a cold or hurtful person. Doing this will have you be seen as someone who feels so low that all they can do is swear to make themselves feel better.

ii) Please be mindful that MPS has a wide variety of people on our forums. Some may be young and we do not tolerate this type of language.

    (1) Example (Swearing Guy): OMG THIS ****ing noob ****ed me with a ****ing M4A1! ****** **** **** ***

iii) Just as you can see, this type of person is seen as immature, disrespectful, and a bad person. Please do not swear and allow these things to occur. Please reread what you have written so you can make sure you did not do something like this.

    d) Don’t go off-topic (Straying away from what the main reason the thread was created for)

    i) Going off topic is both obnoxious and annoying. Off topic will remove someone’s hard work into another thread, which is very rude and not suggested as it is very improper.

    (1) Example (Guy): Today I would like to discuss the L120 Isolator and its positives and negatives…

    (2) Example (Off Topic Guy): I think that mc-war spaz24 is weak and is stupid!

ii) Please stay on the topic and check yourself that you did stay on topic while posting.

    e) Don’t spam random things (Self-explanatory, don’t post dumb things)

    i) Yeah, you will just look like an idiot if you post this type of thing…

    (1) Rebecca Black is the best!!!

    (2) One Direction just met me!

    (3) I love smoking :grinning:

    (4) ASL

    (5) Looking for GF

    (6) My clothes never fit

    (7) Check out my YouTube channel!

    (8) Etc.

ii) The only place some of could ever be posted will be in off topic or videos but try to have some sort of legitimate topic.

iii) If it does not do with anything at all and leaves all videogames, MPS, or anything like that, please do not post it. It similar to all of these rules makes you look like a fool and a novice to forums.

    f) Don’t make similar topics to someone else’s (Self-explanatory, don’t post the same idea or thought, check first)

    i) This is one of the most seen errors by many people in the idea sections of MPS forums. Please do not post something that has been posted in the past. In order to check, go to the search bar using key words of your idea and see if the post has been made. This is one of the biggest novice player mistakes and hopefully this will end.

    (1) Examples: THE SERVER IS DOWN!!!, Mc-war isn’t working L, I can’t connect!, It says connection error, for some reason minecraft won’t work

    (2) Examples: Nerf the isolator! Isolator is so OP! Can you remove Isolator! I think the isolator is unfair!

    (3) Examples: Add Throwing Knives, My new Idea: Throwing Knives, My original idea of throwing knives and new perks, New Lethals!

    g) Prejudice (Prejudging someone based off of one detail)

    i) Prejudice is not tolerated on these forums. As said, we have a wide spectrum audience who reads our forums. Please do not spoil it because of some hate towards someone.

ii) Forms of Prejudice including political, racial, and religious.

    (1) Example: You are such a stupid Jew!

    (2) Example: STFU YOU LIBERAL ****!

    (3) Example: I hear you ******’s like being ****

(Sorry for writing this but it needs to be exampled)

iii) Writing of this kind is seen as vulgar, stupid, cruel, and hurt many members of the MPS community. Please refrain from using this type of language.

    h) Use common sense

    i) This may be strange hearing this but some posters seem to not use common sense. Here are examples of what needs to be in all people’s threads or comments.

ii) Things to do in all posts!

    (1) Example: Read all of the post and replies!

    (2) Example: Don’t saying something someone else did.

    (3) Example: Talk using English.

    (4) Example: Respect all players as you would anyone else you know.

    (5) Example: If you are not willing to let a parent or guardian read it, it most likely should not be posted.

iii) These are only some examples of the many common sense of being a respectful person and former.

    i) Policy on Gifs and Meme

    i) Memes and Gifs are only acceptable in off topic. They normally lead to more causing spam. Please refrain from using memes and gifs. Please use appropriate gifs and memes meaning less profanity and NO nudity. There are only some situations and steps to tell if they are okay, please read below.

    (1) Steps to tell if a Meme or Gif is advisable:

    (a) Is this in off topic sub-forum? If yes continue.

    (b) Does it relate or doing anything with the main idea? If so continue.

    (c) Does your meme/gif have any nudity or excessive profanity? If no continue.

    (d) Does the start of the post include of Meme/gif? If yes continue.

    (e) If all this criteria has been filled and you have passed through these steps, it is for sure you are safe to post a meme/gif.

    2) Discussion

    a) Discussion is a sub topic on our forums used to talk about the specific game mode information topic you like, dislike, or just want to plain have a conversation about. This sub forum is a respected and well-read forum so it is advised to write clean, grammatical, and much explained information that allows a good discussion. It can create some controversy but also explain your idea. This forum should have a poll depending on what you write.

    3) Server Ideas/kits

    a) Server Ideas/kits is a sub topic on our forums used by any given player to talk about an idea they had to improve the game mode they want to talk about. This topic should have a poll and is a formal area. Please write at your best extent and be respectful of others ideas as they would yours.

    4) Map submissions

    a) A Map submission is a sub forum on our forums that is used to submit player made maps for some game modes on MPS. While making one, please be respectful and actually make a map that you would play that is fair for all. Poll will probably be a good idea in this spot. It is a request to add screenshots using imgur or the forums default add picture spot and a good idea to add a map download area.

    5) Bug Reports

    a) Bug reports is a sub forum on our forums used to report bugs that players have found. When doing so, please list where on the map or have some coordinates, a picture, and then describe the situation.

    6) Videos

    a) This spot is for a video you want to share. This means you can try to spread your own channel through here but please have something appropriate here. Comedy, Skits, gameplay, tips n’ tricks and anything else is welcome here! Please humor us :grinning: Please do not advertise here.

    7) Off Topic

    a) Here is where you can go CRAZY but please remember the rules! This thread is used to just talk about anything that comes to mind. This is the only place that is appropriate for Memes and gifs so let them fly. Remember all rules from above when pasting here though. Please do not advertise here.

    8) Report a rule breaker

    a) Ever find a rule breaker in your game (Ex: fly hacks or Out of mappers), here is a way to help you out if anything is unclear

    i) Defendant: Write down the person who you saw breaking the rules

ii) Plaintiff: Please write down your name

iii) Reason: select which they did

    (1) Hacking: Examples are flying, jumping super high, god mode, cheat mods, etc.

    (2) Glitching: Using some sort of mc-war or minecraft plugin for your own use too gain an advantage. Examples are C4 glitch, Exploits in maps, Out of mapping, etc.

    (3) Advertising: Giving away a YouTube channel URL or giving out another minecraft server IP.

    (4) Other: This would be rare but if you see something that isn’t fair or have seen someone spam, swear, be vulgar, or something over at least a dozen times, you can report them here.

iv) Server: Just write what game mode you were on here.

    v) Proof: Please have a picture from Imgur to support your sighting that there was a rule breaker.

vi) Map: If playing mc-war, write down the map so if it was an out of map or exploit, they can fix it.

vii) Other/Extra: Just write what you saw or feel. It does not have to be filled out but if you feel something important is needed to be said, say it here.

    9) Mod Application

    a) Have you done a lot for the community and feel you want to do more; the Mod application is here for that. Here are a few rules and guidelines for this section if you want to run.

    b) Rules and Things needed to be a Moderator

    i) Activity: You need to be active in the game your running for, on Team speak 3 where players talk to each other, and on our forums here where new ideas are brought every day.

ii) Activity 2: If your mod application is the first thing you post, your no matter what, how good it is, and even if you’re the presidents child going to be denied. Moderators must be active on everything including forums.

iii) Maturity: You need to be mature to be a moderator. You cannot be nasty and vulgar while doing this. Being mature shows, you are kind and know what you are doing.

iv) Applying: This is mistaken a lot but you may apply once every two weeks. If you do it even a single time more in-between those two weeks, you will be denied those two applications and any other application that may follow will surely be called immature because of this incident.

    v) Grammar: When you write this application, think of it as an interview. You have as long as you like so write it like it was an interview. This application has many people trying every day so it is a good idea to write the best response you can using mature English and proper grammar.

vi) Poll: One of the greatest errors of some of the best applications, you must add a poll to your application. A poll tells you how you are doing in the ratio of who thinks you will and will not be a good moderator. Without this, an admin will deny you because instantly, you are new to forums. To create a poll, scroll down the page under submit.

vii) Length: When you create this application, make sure it is somewhat long. The more is better in this situation. If you tell us all about your experience in detail, you will have a higher chance of being successful.

viii)Application Honesty: You may have heard about plagiarism and academic dishonesty in the past in school however, honesty also applies here. Some of the more active forumer’s will join servers you say you are mod on and will see if you are a staff member. Please never copy and paste someone else’s application as this will lead to an instant deny.

    10) Lost Donations

    a) If you have lost something you donated for and have waited a long time, go into this forum and fill out the information. Be ready with some proof of the transaction with an email. Staff members can only read this so your private information is safe.

    11) Ban Appeals

    a) If you were unjustly banned or made a mistake by downloading a mod/client you did not know was no allowed, please enter a respectful and true appeal explaining what happened and answering questions it may contain.

    12) Development Log & Announcements

    a) If you heard of some update or want to check up on MPS news, go to announcements. This is the place you will find all your updates in your favorite game modes with their change logs. If you want to see new things or milestones of MPS, announcements will have them all sorted and dated for you.

    13) Resolution

Now that you have ready approximately 2,375 words and probably some more after this, you now know all the rules for the forums of Multiplayer Server Network. I hope you found this informational and helpful so that you can use this while posting. I would like to thank all the Staff members I talked too for helping me out as well as those that inspired me to write this. (Those bad apps :stuck_out_tongue:) Now that your done hearing me ramble, go out and write good threads, make good comments, and try your best to follow the rules.

*The Lack of Following These Rules will result in the failure to ever post again*
