airsoft vs. paintball

Paintball ball for the ****ing win! You should see my gun, its a tippmann gun and I have its completely decked out.

 

Airsoft. I've never gone paintballing, but I've heard from my friends that it hurts a ton. Airsoft doesn't really hurt, and it feels more realistic. I feel like you can do so much more with airsoft.

 

You can't say that if you've never done paintball {putty}

 

I'm basing this off of what other people tell me. Don't expect me to be a pro in both.

 

Paintballing is expensive as hell: Gas tanks, armor, paint balls, and admission. Airsoft, on the other hand, is less expensive, harder to hit targets, and you can do it in the backyard. However, I'd choose paintball. It's a thrill to be in the arena, and it requires more strategy.

Paintball is better for sadistic intentions.

Airsoft is a no-fun activity without competition.
Plus it was always intended for chavs.

 

Bro IDK where you live but me and my 12 paintball buddies drive like one hour and we just play in the woods, now we don't have to pay admission. Also why the hell do you need armor? I wear a short sleeve shirt and army pants...

 

I live near San Francisco, no where near woods, and I always wear armor becuase there's always that idiot who keeps shooting you.

 

let me tell you a thing about paintball
lets start with the guns

paintball guns usually use a heavy-ass gas canister under high pressure. It weights two or three times more than the rest of your gun. It hangs off the back, or the side, ****ing up the aim and balance of the gun in your hand. If you don't constantly clean your barrel, you run the risk of your paintballs exploding inside the barrel and jamming your gun until you can get to a safe spot where you can put your safety on and un-clog the paint and goop and **** stuffed in your gun.

so heres the thing. a standard gun shoots paintballs around 180 mph. so you have a small plastic ball filled with fluid, maybe the size of a large beetle, flying at you at nearly 200 miles per hour. when it hits you, its like... well theres really no analogy. imagine a bee sting, except instead of getting stung once by the bee you found, theres some douche shooting about 50 of these ****ers at you every seconds. imagine someone shooting bees from a metal tube at you from 20 yards and having these bees hit you in the neck and chest area

aiming a paintball gun is like trying to hit a goddamn fly off the wall from 50 yards using a ****ing shower head. the paintballs curve so hard, its almost like you are TRYING not to hit your target. I was sighting a gun once and the paintballs started straight, and by the time they hit the target one of them was 4 feet above it. Yes, this little plastic, torment-filled **** curved upwards four feet over a distance of like 60 feet. when youre running through an area covered in obstacles, possibly being assaulted by one or more douchebags shooting bees at you, hitting anyone is next to impossible

yeah airsoft is cool. just wear a sweat shirt and you dont feel a ****ing thing. you can actually aim, which is cool, because airsoft ammo doesnt have huge ass seams on them where they fuse the halfs of the shell. so your shots dont fly upwards from your target. you just gotta be careful where you go, because some places are heavily infested by people with above-regulation guns, but that happens with paintball too.

 

I prefer airsoft because it is realistic.
