Poem Soccer Sonnet

I had to create a sonnet for my English class, might as well share it with you guys. It's a tad bit lame, but don't blame me because I decided to do it last minute. I chose my topic to be soccer.

For those of you that don't know what a sonnet is; it's basically like any other poem, it just has a specific rhyming pattern to it. (ABAB, CDCD, EFEF, GG) Well, here it is, enjoy the crap I managed to spew out to my teacher.

Oh what an amazing sport it is,
Red cards to yellow cards, colors galore.
One worldwide sport, across the axis
It’s a pleasant sport, you see; no gore.

Millions of fans globally, diehard fans.
Revision is not an alternative,
Changing the game? You better have good plans.
Fans will not find your effort imperative.

I was joking, soccer’s a brutal sport.
Fanatics are crude, some are just plain mean.
Insulting a team? You better abort,
Fans will leave you on the floor knocked out clean.

Wait, is that a foul?! You sir, need glasses.
You also need some refereeing classes.
