    Some ideas for the new gun plugin that should be fairly easy to implement, given what little I've seen of the code.

    Idea 1: Bullet drop.
    Pretty self-explainatory. All bullets are affected by gravity, but some guns have a lower velocity than others. Each gun has a unique bullet-drop value. For example, at 100 metres, the Barrett M98B (assuming) should drop very little (~0-0.5 metres), while the L118a should have massive drop (~2-4 metres).

    Idea 2: Less velocity over time.
    As a bullet flies through the air, it's going to steadily lose momentum as air friction enacts on it. This means the bullet should fly slower and deal less damage if it's in the air longer. For example, a L118a chestshot at point-blank range might kill, but at 100 metres, it will only deal, say, 65 (13 hp) of damage.

    Idea 3: 1.8 recoil system.
    Whenever the player fires a shot, jerk the player's vision upwards, then slowly move it back downwards over a period of time. This is now possible with 1.8's teleport mechanics, which support changing the player's yaw and pitch as well as coordinates.

    Idea 4: Faster bullets.
    As we all know, our current bullets are slower than MS Internet Explorer. We need to speed them up tenfold. Do real life bullets have to be aimed ahead by 10 metres?

    Idea 5: Kill jumpshots.
    Give the player a few ticks of negative jumpboost when they're firing. It simulates the effects of recoil in real life. This will prevent players from using the "jumpshotting" strategy, which makes no real sense. It will also encourage more effective use of cover, which is basically neglected as of now.

    Idea 6: Sensible accuracy changes.
    Guns should have a number of multipliers for their accuracy values when the player has certain conditions true:
    Running - 1.5x
    In the air - 2.0x
    Crouching - 0.8x
    In water - 1.2x
    Submerged - 2.0x
    (Remember, lower numbers = more accuracy.)
    This should dampen rushers a bit, and also make infect camping a little harder (ish).

    All these changes should make the game a little more challenging, while staying true to the CoD-styled game. That's all for now!

    Mc-War isn't realistic. Therefore, these are horrible ideas.

    I don't like the bullet drop and velocity systems, because that is in a game made by EA, not Infinity Ward/Treyarch.
    As for other ideas, you have my support, especially the recoil idea has caught my attention.

    Well, honestly, I liked sniping better when it was actually challenging, not the absolute bullcrap sniper system we have now. You can just point at somebody's head, and they're dead.

    And what about the people complaining about the iso's OP-ness?

    While I see your point, I think we need to keep the Call of Duty's sniping system and add body damage multipliers, so that you would not get 1-shotted in the feet. I think this in particular would work out in the favor of headshots.
    Or we can also nerf the weapon to a certain degree.

    Like stated above, mc-war isn't that realistic. These things will change it too much, in my opinion.

    Also, the first one is already implemented in Guns? a spas-12 for example loses its height over a long distance.

    I like most of these, except with the faster bullets thing, if we increase the bullet speed much more than we have it now, it will look from your perspective as if you have a bullet tornado coming out of your gun

    Now shotguns are even more underpowered with more bullet drops. Also, mc war isn't realistic.

    It's honestly a bit surprising how other, more popular members can post an idea like this and get 60 likes, yet when this is posted it's modestly -1.
    A few months ago people were all about making it more realistic.
    I like the velocity idea, and another great one would be to add less recoil that the guns do :L
    For example, the auto guns wouldn't shoot you up in the air :x

    Actually, shotguns would be more powerful, since their velocity would be raised to that of assault rifles :l
