[Smod] Staff Interviews #12 Audir8fan5 ~ Cars & Cars

Here we are with another interview! This time we have @audir8fan5 ! Hope you enjoy!

1. Where and when did you find McBrawl?

This isn’t the most exciting of stories, but I’ll go ahead. A couple of years ago now, I was scrolling through my YouTube feed, when I saw a video named “Minecraft Call of Duty” by TheCampingRusher who had around 10k subscribers back then and now is quite a big YouTuber. I joined the server and got hooked instantly, and haven’t stopped playing since!


2. Where does your name come from?

When I was quite a young fellow, I had to make a username for this game that I can not remember, so on the spot I decided to call myself “audir8fan”. This username has stuck with me throughout many games and accounts, and I think I will also stick with it for this Name Changing thing. In case you’re wondering, there is a “5” at the end of my name because “audir8fan” was already taken, so someone, if you see a guy called “audir8fan” I will be extremely impressed


3. If there was one thing you would change about Brawl, what would it be?

I really wouldn’t change anything to Brawl at the moment, except a few very minor things, but I believe that McBrawl is amazing as it is now with the community and servers.


4. What was your motivation to becoming part of the staff?

I had a big drive as an applicant, as I have always wanted to help McBrawl more than just being a player and answering questions. I genuinely wanted to make a positive diference to McBrawl and make the servers better in some way shape or form, even if that’s just being friendly and helpful to new members, or punishing others to keep the atmosphere positive .


5. What is your favorite type of transportation and what model?

Do I need to say? If so, by Car, and an Audi R8.


6. Where you nervous during your promotion to moderator and/or to Smod?

Indeed I was very nervous. the most nerve-racking thing I have been through during Brawl was definitely my Moderator Interview, and making sure that I answered the questions correctly, as a wrong answer could be fatal at this stage of time. One thing that has made me quite nervous and worried throughout my time being staff here is making a mistake. Of course, we all make them, but in some circumstances if you make an extremely terrible mistake, it could lead to a big consequence.


7. Who were the first people you met when you joined McBrawl?

Well when I first joined McBrawl I played it extremely casually and didn’t really talk to anyone. However, when I got more into it and knew that I was going to keep playing, I started talking in chat and I made quite a few friends indeed. I don’t have time to tag all of them, but here are a few people that I have known for a very long time.

8. Out of all of the McBrawl servers which one do you like the most and why?

At the very beginning of my time here, I only played War, and back then there wasn’t even Party, FpsHG, GMod, SkyWars etc. Currently, I like almost all Brawl Gamemodes but if I had to choose one specific one, then I would have to go for MC-War. FpsHG is also a favorite of mine.


9. Do you like doing you job as a Smod?

I love doing my job as an SMod! I like to help out the community even more than I previously could as a moderator and player, and also it’s really nice to see upcoming things in the future, instead of waiting for them, and having a bigger say in what happens in Brawls’ future.


10. What are some dally things you have to work with (good and bad) as an Smod?

I have quite a few daily tasks as an SMod, most of which I enjoy. I go through Hacker Reports, Ban Appeals, and even though it isn’t my main job, I sometimes moderate the forums. As for monthly tasks, I write each months edition of Brawl News as well as working on the Brawl Changelog, as well as in-game moderation. Like everything, these jobs can sometimes come with stress, but I enjoy doing them a lot of the time.


11. Anything to add?

I would like to say something that I haven’t formally stated before. If you haven’t been a member here at Brawl for a long time, you may not realise that I have posted over 5 moderator applications, 4 of them denied, and only 1 accepted. Everytime I saw that “Denied” tag, it hit me, but not hard enough to push me down to the ground. I kept trying and trying, and after a year and a bit of applying, I get accepted as a Trial Moderator on October 3rd. Hard work pays off, and on January 3rd, 3 months after I get accepted as a Trial Moderator, I am promoted to SMod. Hard work pays off, so never give up.
