How I feel about the Livestreams every Friday

First of all the event are every OTHER Friday. I feel as though you are quite uninformed about this whole thing. The first 'way2hot4friday' we did had 3 events of which were planned for the most part great for mc-warz. The next 'way2hot4friday' was survival based and was a complete disaster. I'll admit we didn't put much thought into most of the events that day but at the same time many issues occurred because of the update to 1.8. When it reached 6:00 PM EST we were still not ready because of all the issues we had. This was something we did not expect and caused a huge delay. To be honest, there wasn't even an event for survival because of all the issues we ran into. We wanted to create another survival event to say sorry and redeem ourselves. I know mazes are something you guys have seen before but we did it again because of a legal's hard work that he put into that build. Believe me, we have great plans for the other servers but because of the inconveniences last event, we felt like this was the right conclusion. Please be more patient when it comes to these events because it's not too easy, at all. I really hope you understand all of this and hope to see you participate in the later events.

 

The servers are owned by different people. Some understand grass roots marketing and others that don't.

If the owners were savvy they would level load the events. I think this is a great suggestion.

It will be interesting to see if they organize and attempt it or if nothing happens.

I feel mcwar has seen very little love in the live streams, hopefully this shall change soon. I feel mcwar has a great amount of potential, because a server that the live stream is in could be made to fit more people (like server 10 before Christmas). Possibly mcwar events could be developed by the creative team, or even when the stream is ongoing, maps could be changed to removed maps, or popular maps, or maybe maps specifically for the streams. Overall, mcwar could not be streamed for more that about 30-40 minutes, at which point the stream could focus on another server.

 

You all have to realize that the other servers are coded to work the way they do and cannot be messed with at times. Like mc-war, you join the server and will join the next round and such. The rounds are events by themselves in some sense and for us to find a way to remix it a little is very difficult. This goes along side with minestrike, fpshg, etc...

We only did 2 'way2hot4fridays' and believe me, it's nothing to be worried about yet. Please wait as for the next few months you'll see we'll be switching around a lot.

 

Possible idea: maybe have an event based server like mcpvp used to have for their streams with BBH. This was a server managed by one of their admins, and it was specifically for stream events like red rover, maze challenges, KOTH, void games, ect. When there was not a stream it had parkour, and a few other mini games. But I completley see where you're coming from on this.

 

I always say on @way2hot4rs 's streams to do war but he always says nu :c

 

And how is there supposed to be an event on war, like @way2hot4rs said that the coding has been setup for quick team based games... Not something that can be easily edited. WarZ for example is different, all it takes is a couple of staff to build something, then they edit some plugins to there needs unlike War where changing something could have a knock on affect.

 

I don't really like playing mc-war on my free time because that's all I used to play; I never said that we wouldn't ever make an event on it. To be honest, it's going to be a lot of thinking but hopefully we can find someway to make mc-war have an event.

I really like this idea and I'll talk to putty about it. I have watched his streams many times and seen that it functions very well.
