War new maps test server?

    I am a map maker and it is really hard to imagine how your map is going to work with war so I was wondering if brawl made a test server for map makers to test their maps on? It would need to have the plugin(s) used in war (guns, teams, sponges, flags .etc). Open to the public? Or just the map maker and admins/mods?

    Well what I'm asking is I am the maker of many maps. And I'd like to see how they'd work. So I'd consider myself not public?

    Perhaps set up a local Bukkit server and install some gun plugin? SwornGuns is an up-to-date fork of the old PvPGuns plugin, I think.

    The plugin comes with throwable item integration.
    I don't really think there's anything you can do about the sponges.

    This would be an okay idea for testing your map(s) for OOMS / OP spots with recoil. I don't think a lot of effort should be put into it though.

    Currently there is no system like that and we don't plan to open a test server just for map makers to test War maps. That's not to say we won't add things like launch sponges on creative for public use, because we do plan to add the sponges at a later date, but not a test server just for testing out maps for War. Things like grenades, OOM, guns, teams and flags can easily be figured out without having a test server. I'll be glad to answer anymore questions that you have.

    Is there a way either now or in the future to copy your map into the creative server?

    If you don't want to put your map on creative, that's fine. I would like to take a look at it though. :smile:
