    That is an odd bug. Due to the fact that you were spammed by "Unknown Sign" messages, it may have just been lag
    But I can tell you you will not get your stuff back.

    I could be mistaken, but I think when it says "sign" it is talking about spawn position.

    No. When it says "sign", it means lag
    Or, at least that is what Phanta the coder says V: I trust him.

    It was due to lag and you being suffocated in the wall, i'm not sure if you could get your items back.
    Try not logging on half blocks in corners (beds)
