Regaurding In-Game/ Forums Flaming

I've recently found myself engaging in flame wars both in-game and forum wise because of some comments ive made.

None of these comments were negative they were mostly opinionated, no insults or any notions of disrespect intended but i guess i couldn't escape an inevitable fire fight, i must've left my flame shield at home or something....

But this isnt only me... i see countless times where people get into arguments over some really petty ****. Im sure you guys know what im talking about, hackusations, being mad over war, getting destroyed in Survival, getting 1-shotted in War-Z. And somehow all these trivial things turn into a massive fireworks show.

If you dont like what someone says, something you find offensive, your best option is to just report that player to a mod, usually retaliating will more than often result in the both of you getting in trouble. But thats where another problem does lie, you shouldn't report someone for useless flaming (i.e a player says "Ur trash at this game") that is again, useless banter people say because theyre mad. It is against the rules to verbally harass another player, some ways of doing so is threats of any kind and if a player is going out of their way to constantly attack you, thats when you report them.

It just looks really immature when you try and start a fight over a game of minecraft, is the game competitive? well... yes but thats no reason to get into a big argument throwing some mad shade over a little game, its silly. Its best to be the better party of a conversation and leave it alone. Me myself, i always try to avoid chatting in-game for these reasons. (But im not too shy of dissing a few kids or two )

A really bad excuse for flaming at someone ive heard was "well i was just joking!" when you make threats like DDoS'ing DoXing Or even threatening to "beat them up irl" those are all illegal actions in real life and im pretty sure its not appreciated by the receiving party. Plus you look like a freaking idiot threatening to kill someone over minecraft, thats just stupid...

Now that we have a clear idea of what should be reported and what-not i suggest that we all make the effort to not get mad over petty **** and stop flaming at other people. Because i swear to christ i hate when a normal conversation/debate randomly turns into a flame war and I end up getting in trouble.

I mean im not really apologizing for anything, i've done nothing wrong really...

And hey, censored words are cool man, its an expression in my eyes, it emphasises the passion i have twoards what im typing/writing its just the way i talk.

 

I mean i see what you mean, ive asked people what my reputation is like, and people tell me i do nothing but flame at others but that couldnt be farther from the truth, i always try my best in a debate to structure myself in a proper manner. because if all you do is flame and call names when youre arguing with someone you cant really be taken seriously.

I can assure you ive never gone out of my way to uselessly flame at someone and im not sure where you got that idea from, the only reason i said what i did is because theres nothing to atone for. Nothing more, nothing less.

As i said, im never the one to start or continue one, i always stay where i am because if a mod or any other catches eye to it, they'll see that i wasn't flaming to begin with which is why i said in my post to just leave it alone and report flamers to mods.
