Hit detection and souping

    So the other day I was 1v1ing @Ry23an and he was running (not the point). I was literally two blocks away from him and I couldn't hit him. WTF!?

    Later that day I was stone swording. I had soups on me. Then another stone sworder came and when hit me it took like 3 clicks to soup.

    Can you guys get 1. Better hit detection 2. Better souping plugin like adv pvp, mcpvp, elite kits, etc

    The soup plugin is fine, the hit detection is what's annoying.
    Hit detection is one of the reasons I lost my interest on the PvP server. :v

    Same, I might quit if this dosen't get fixed. I lose fights I shouldn't be losing cuz of this. And souping is a problem for me, idk about you

    I tested the hit detection on a Minecraft server. I basically set up my mouse to click 999 times per second using a macro. Hits were very rare, and even though I would walk through a crowd of enemies, I'd still barely hit them at all.
    Mojang fix your crap

    It's not mojang, it's just mcbrawl's hit detection for me

    It's the noDamageTicks that basically prevents you from being hurt so many times per period of time. Whenever the value is less than a certain number (can't remember off the top of my head) it allows you to actually be hurt. This is why guns on War/WarZ were broke on the 1.8 update.

    It's affecting all the mcbrawl servers. You guys need to delete NoDamageTicks, just an opinion

    Here's what happens if noDamageTicks is always set to 0.



    You would also get hurt this fast if you were to jump into lava, drowning, cacti, etc.

    I'm not saying set it to 0, I'm saying just get another hit detection plugin

    I'd prefer the current hit detection over a crappy, bugged out one.
    Although, it'd be great if the hit detection could be restored to normal.

    I want the elite kits and mcpvp and mcteams hit detection and soup system. It's WAY better

    NC+ also might be why the hit detection is so crappy on Brawl. None of those servers have NC+ and I also ran into this same hit detection issue with a kit server I used to moderate.

    I don’t really enjoy the hit detection. all though I don’t really PvP to often anymore. Everyone ask’s me to be friends with them so I yes. I just feel bad if I kill some random player with diamond armor. Well the one’s that ask me to be friends. :happy:

    You're correct, but this is not the issue discussed in the OP. The Survival PvP server has horrid ticks per second which causes there to be soup and PvP lag. We cannot do much about this because the entities in 1.8 causes the tps to drop.

    The hit detection on PvP has been an issue even before 1.8, though. Is there really no way that it can be fixed?
