    McBrawl Moderator Application:

Have you read over this thread? – I have thoroughly read all the points and gone over it before even starting to fill out this application.

What is your in-game name? - profbonkars
Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. – Never.
Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? – I am the only person who has access to my account.

How old are you? - 17
What time zone are you in? – Central Time Zone
Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? – English is my only language.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? – I have been playing Minecraft for about two years. I started playing casual solo Vanilla, but I quickly got bored and started playing on multiplayer servers. The first game mode I ever played was factions, and from this, I learned all the basics of Minecraft. As time passed, I started learning how to use red stone, and from then on, I was hooked.
What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? – I used to be a Helper on Mineplex. This lasted for about two weeks before I left due to school issues. I also recently worked at EnderCraftBuild as a website manager and server moderator. These servers helped expose me to managing large amounts of people at once. The rest of my experience has been working on games other than Minecraft. I describe these in the “About you” section.
What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status?
I plan to enforce rules but more importantly create a fun environment. Many moderators assume that since they are moderators, their pure goal is to make sure others follow the rules. While that is very important (for obvious reasons), I feel another part of our 'job' is to make sure all players are having a good time. I always make sure to be nice and respectful to members. Never in any situation do I find myself being rude or mean to any player. Respect is an important quality that I often use when helping others.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? – I have only used a hacked client once. This was used on a server I used to work with to test a new ‘Anti Cheat’ system. I have never used a hacked client on a server in order to gain an unfair advantage against other players.
Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? – I have never been banned on a Minecraft server for any reason before.

What do you consider your greatest strength? – I find my greatest strength to be my experience as a moderator and my ability to easily communicate with players. I am easily able to handle many responsibilities and tasks at once. These are very important traits to a moderator, in my opinion, and therefore I think they really help me with my job.
What do you consider your greatest weakness? – Most likely that I have to be busy to be happy. I understand many times moderators have 'slow days' and this may bother me, but I am easily able to find another activity to partake in during the down time. If I had to name another weakness, it would be that I am a perfectionist, which means I love to do things on my own or that I have to be in charge. Do not be alarmed, for I have learned how to control this since moderating is a team/group effort and not a one man show.

How active do you consider yourself on McBrawl? – I find myself to be very active on Brawl. I am on the forums around seven hours a day, and I have a laptop or computer with me at all times. I tend to be on the server around four to five hours a day. On TeamSpeak, I try to be on at least two hours a day. This is definitely something I need to work on.
Which McBrawl servers are you most active on? – By far, the server I spend the most time on is McWar.
How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? – I am on the forums usually from 7am to 7pm. My server and team speak times vary, but they are always during CMT day hours, and a lot of times, night hours.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? – I would react depending on the situation. If it was something minor (such as OOM or Chat spam), I would promptly give a warning. If they repeat the violation, I will warn them again. This time it would be a more firm warning. If they repeat the violation again, they will either be muted, banned or kick. I will react according to the situation.
What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? – If they break a rule such as grave digging, I will simply lock the thread. If a member directly breaks a rule such as insulting other members or spamming, they will be given warns. I am unaware of how the Brawl forum warning system works, but I can easily learn.
What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? – If someone is breaking a rule on the TeamSpeak, such as mic spam, they will be moved to a different channel. If they repeat the same violation, I will take direct action such as muting their microphone of banning from the channel.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on McBrawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? – The first step I would take is to alert staff by posting a message immediately in the staff chat. My next step would be to warn all players on the server that if they exploit the glitch, there will be severe consequences. I would then proceed to sit on the server, answering questions and making sure the rules are followed until a higher rank joins and fixes the glitch.

How many McBrawl staff applications have you made in the past? – I have only submitted one application in the past. Two days after I posted it, I asked Signatured to deny it for me. I did this because I felt I was not fully ready and I wanted to wait longer so that I could improve on my server times and forum activity.
What is the date of the last application you submitted? -
I submitted my first application on February 16.

Do you have a working microphone? – Yes, I have a working microphone and a working headset.
Are you able to record and upload videos? – Yes I am. I have PlayClaw or Fraps open at all times, in case I have to record something that is happening at that moment. I have experience editing videos using Sony Vegas Pro 13.

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? – Yes, I am fully aware on how all the staff commands work. I have also read the full McWar Wikipedia page so that I could learn all the commands associated with the game mode.

Anything else we should know about you? -
My real name is Ryan Conspiracy, and I have been in the gaming industry for quite some time now. One of my first jobs was as Head Admin at TF2 T/R (which at the time had about 8000 members). After leaving about a few months later, I continued to work and help on groups. I was an admin at TF2Outpost.com (over 100,000 members), NaturalGaming (1000 members), and a few other smaller groups. I have also worked for website such as CSGOMall.com as a community manager, but that project recently ended. I was also the server manager for a group best known as CorridorDigital (yes, the YouTube channel). They have a gaming group called Node (or StressLevelZero) and for two months I managed the servers and the community group before I left. Other than working for games, I have been playing them. I am a “retired” professional gamer, previously known as bonkars. I was in the Team Fortress 2 competitive scene two or three years ago.

    Prof,

I've seen you on TeamSpeak, the forums, and in game daily. I believe you have enough posts on our website to become a moderator. You're very mature, helpful, and active in all three fields.

You sir, have my plus one.

    Good luck!

Finally, I was going to ask you to apply soon, you would be a great addition to the staff team. You're on very often being EXTREMELY helpfull on mc-war. I see you on TS very often in public channels, which is good. On the forums you currently have 192 posts, you're just 8 behind our recommendation which is close enough. One down side that I would have liked to see more of was on your app, it's relatively short and could use a little more detail in some of your questions.
Overall +1 good luck. But if there is a next time for this, I would work a little more on your app length.

Prof, I believe you could do this job well. It is a bit early for re-applying considering your other application was denied only a few weeks ago. However you are very helpful overall in-game and are on ts quite a bit. I believe you could do it. +1

Thank you for your response ChickenNinja. My last application was denied upon request, so that I could take a few weeks to improve. I was not sure if that counted or not. Thanks again.

Short application, I hardly see you on teamspeak(might be because of different timezones), and you got 220 posts on the forums. 220 posts is ok, but I'd like to see you apply with 300+.
You're only lvl 23 on war, which means you haven't played enough for this rank. I respect others opinions, but that's mine.
Too new in-game for this position. However I'd really like to see you get more active on all three areas and get accepted.
    -1 this time.

I very much appreciate your feedback. I am on TeamSpeak daily (usually), and my post count is low because I only post when my comment is necessary. Also, I am on the server seven hours a day, with a lot of staff seeing and playing with me. Unfortunately, I have never seen you on. None the less, thanks for your response.
