Have you ever been at the edge of doing something outrages, But something is holding you back from doing such actions in your organism state? This is a problem I am having in school, insecurity has approached my person and now I am scared to be smart due to what others may inherit in there philosophy. I was the smart kid at my old school but I had no friends, should I keep doing this or just be a failer. In grade school, I was in honor roll in all my classes until home school and floursecent lights hold me back.

    halp me decide.

Be yourself m8! It will get you far in life. Listen, try to not care what other people think about you. It will set you free. There's nobody to impress really, and most everyone in school goes through what you are going through at some point. Here is the deal. I take it those people who you are worried about aren't even your friends. If you hardly know them, then why bother changing to impress them? I make it a point not to try to impress people I don't really know or care about. It's a vain pursuit that leads to pride and a whole load of other issues. No, you be yourself. Your smarts are part of what make you who you are. Don't let insecurity get a hold of your life. Don't let the opinions of others dictate to you how you act. Because, when it comes down to it, when we let people sway us in that manner, it is an act. It's a lie. You don't want to live a lie, do you? You can be smart and make friends at the same time! You just need to learn how to approach people. Practice engaging people you don't know in friendly conversation. Get moral support from those you love. Just know that you can be who you are and still go far. :V (That rhyme though) In fact, the sooner you come to terms with yourself, the better off you will be. Once you get out of school, you will be forced to come to terms with yourself anyways. Life is not a huge popularity contest as some of the kids in your school might tell you. Life is real, not a lie. Live it to it's fullest m8, and live it as the real you! I hope this helps m8.

I think if you tried to use fewer big words and less fancy sentence structure people would like you more. It gives the wrong vibe about you, and I think you would enjoy the adjustment as well. More people would understand you, and they would like that :stuck_out_tongue:

Who cares what people think? I get made fun of for getting 90s in my classes but look where they will end up in life... I just learned to ignore it: don't be scared to be smart because you'll end up succeeding in life while the ones bullying you will end up reconsidering living their life.

    Greetings from Germany.

Don't worry too much about it. As randomcitizen1 said it before:"[...] most everyone in school goes through what you are going through at some point".
But you have to get along with them somehow. If you see someone in your class is struggling with his study motivation or he can't solve a problem ask them in a polite way if they need help.
Being smart is nothing you should be ashamed of. I'm always happy when one of my classmates offers me some help.

(Well all of them are older than me (20+) but I still get along with my classmates. Maybe because 80% of them are gamers too and they share the same interests as I do (playing (board-)Games, doing sport, watching movies/animes, etc.).
Pretty sure you'll find someone who shares the same interests as you do soon enough and trust me you really just need a hand full of friends anyway. Just be yourself. :^)

"Should I keep doing this or be a failure?"
If you're coming to a bunch of strangers on the internet to answer such an absurd question, you have some stuff to figure out.
Being smart and being social are two different problems, and I doubt intelligence is something that holds people back.

I would like to point out that if you are truly as smart as you claim to be, the silly mistakes in your little paragraph would cease to exist. As Javed said, you seem to use words that are big and mighty but in all the wrong ways.

Don't mind other's opinions. Do not hold yourself back for such a silly thing. What's the negative of being smart and showing it? Raise your hand when you know the answer, even when you're the only one doing so. In a completely silent classroom, just shout out the answer if you know it. It helps you, and it helps the others in the class who might not know what's going on.

I still have doubts about you. Thirteen? You should be able to spell correctly.
