Video Games Your Most Satisfying Moment In A Game?

    Games are tough, lets be honest. Video games in the most basic sense are made to test our abilities to adapt to an environment unlike our own and test our skills at how well we've learned up that point.

    Sometimes you find yourself thinking, "well this is bull**** how am i going to ever become this, or beat this, or get this" and if we try hard enough and find ourselves determined with the will to succeed it becomes all the more satisfying when we reach goals that we thought previously unimaginable.


    My personal moment actually occurred this year, a few days ago actually. Demi-Fiend Is considered one of the strongest and most powerful Characters in all of Shin Megami Tensei, Hell in all of gaming, this guy single-handedly killed God and Lucifer with his own hands (And face lasers :stuck_out_tongue:) So it wouldn't be a surprise if he were to be a boss it would be more than difficult, right?

    Demi-Fiend's boss battle in Shin Megami Tensei : Digital Devil Saga is considered one of the hardest bosses in RPG history and in most cases all of gaming. So its no surprise that i was more than happy when after an 5 hour run i managed to beat him.


    So lets hear what you guys think, i want to hear what you find yourself looking back on and thinking, "I never though i would accomplish this" Something that left you with that victorious feeling of satisfaction. Your most satisfying moment in your life as a gamer. Is it an encounter with a shiny Pokemon, or maybe beating a game youve been having troubles with.

    When I defeated touhou 6 extra stage after 80 tries. (In total, 6 MONTHS)

    I screamed YES so hard, that my brother and sister came in to check if i was alright. And 3 minutes later the neighbours came in and asked why they heard someone scream.

    It was epic.

    My next plan is defeating touhou 7 phantasm (Insane), though I still need to unlock that.

    I completely disagree... they are for complete fun and if you are finding them depressing or terrible... why play.

    Ehhh, I could agree with that. But still,

    Yeah... This is something the game I have has to offer. It is strategy, luck, skill and reaction. It is... quite challenging.

    But most of the time, games are more to 'relax' rather than to be insanely mlg pro 420 rekscoper quickscoper.

    Now, back on topic.

    Beating Risk of Rain

    There isn't much question to it, I think this is my favorite game, every time.

    I mean, this is really the definition of an ultra hardcore game. It's always perma death, except if you get this one item and it only works once, and it's just plain hard as hell.

    Completing XCOM: Enemy Within on Impossible difficulty and in Ironman mode (1 save file).
