Have you read over this thread? - Yes, I have read over the thread carefully both times I applied and I understand what is meant by it.

What is your in-game name? - My in-game name is currently 'Striker_Sly'.

Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them.
    - Yes. I have changed my name to my current name from 'striker__sly'.

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account?
    - No, nobody ever has had access an nobody ever will.

How old are you? - I am currently 15 years of age; born March 5th, 2000.

What time zone are you in?
    - EST (Eastern Time Zone) I live in the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario.

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages?
    - I am not multilingual. I cannot speak different languages; however I am currently learning Japanese, which most likely would not help with anything to do with Brawl.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - Here is proof of how long I've been playing: SINCEMAY.png
This is how long I've been playing for on the official MineCraft after I bought an account. However in early 2012 I began playing the .exe free version with some friends, using LogMeIn Hamachi as our virtual VPN in order to connect us into one server. From there, we created several builds, tested out many operator commands, and overall built on more MineCraft knowledge before I actually made an account. When I first bought the game, I was ready to set up the VPN again until my friend told me you can play multi-player with no hassle, only to type in the IP address of each server. I began testing and trying a bunch of different MineCraft servers to see what I liked. It was only then when I made a search for "Minecraft call-of-duty servers" on the Internet was when I found Brawl. When I first played I absolutely loved the community. I felt so welcome to the server and it made me stick here. That is why I'm still here today.
The first server I played on was RealmCraft - a server my friend showed me, which featured it's towny servers. I loved it because I began to learn of MineCraft community and how things in the game worked - especially commands and creating new designated builds. I enjoyed spending time with players on the server and I loved interacting with them. This was when I finally achieved the feeling of meeting new friends online as I haven't done so outside of RuneScape, an MMORPG that I started playing in late 2006.
My experience with forums started with the official RuneScape forums, in which I was told I was very mature for my age by my parents for "being able to work things online" - as they always said. To this day they still think of me like that. Ever since I was 6, I have been on many different forums and I have grown an understanding of the communities and the humbleness you need to have - because sometimes you have to accept what you are saying or doing may be wrong in some cases. I have brought forth this knowledge to the Brawl community forums, and here I am today!

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any?
    - Although I have no experience moderating servers, I do have helper experience, which is why I am so excited to hear that helper ranks are coming out! I became helper on the RealmCraft soon after I became close with many of the mods. Unfortunately, I have no screen shots of this, so I am unable to prove it. However, I know how helpers and moderators are to treat players - with respect, so that respect should be done unto them as well.
While helper, I better understood multi-tasking. I was quick to respond to any player that was in need of help as well as warn others who were breaking server rules. I quite enjoyed this position because not only did I love helping the server become better, it helped make me become a better overall person - giving me a sense of discipline and knowledge. My time as helper ended when the server unfortunately went down.
I had also co-owned an activity server with an in-real-life friend. I have no proof of this and since he was my friend it may seem biased that I was co-owner. However, I learned a lot with the authority given. I enjoyed helping out players when they had a problem with the server, I warned and used commands to punish players accordingly when they broke server rules and I also built the spawn, PVP arena and many other mini-games using wand. My time as co-owner on the server ended when the server went down due to lack of funds to keep it up.

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status?
    - If I am provided moderator status, I will help rid the server of rule breakers. I will make sure that spammers, glitchers, hackers, scammers, offensive trolls/players will learn that their behavior is not tolerated by server staff, and punish them accordingly. I will help players immediately if they /msg me or talk to me in game chat. This will help keep players happy, knowing that they matter to me. Also, I will be friendly and comfortable to all players so that they feel comfortable as well in my presence.
For OOM maps, I will either change the map; stating the reason why to other players, or I will carry on with the map and /report players accordingly should they go OOM.
Recently, I have seen a lot of players complaining about the server's community. However, I want to be part of the change that makes this community better, bringing good habits and help keep everyone positive - never expressing any bit of negativity, and setting a positive role-model image that will help players on the server, the forums, as well as in real life.

Have you ever used a hacked client before?
    - I have never once used a hacked client on a multi-player server. However, I downloaded Huzuni, a hacked client to try out in singleplayer. It has since been deleted out of boredom. I also have used wand on the server I previously co-owned in order to build some things that would be too time consuming other wise.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why?
    - Yes, I have been banned on Brawl in game for consistently saying @Lord_Roke's name, and when he responded I would do nothing but keep saying it. I also got banned on the forums for making useless Lord_Roke threads. I have since learned to never do anything like it again, and I have learned from my mistakes in being influenced by friends. I am also aware that this may greatly hurt my chance of receiving the moderator position, but I feel that I have learned from my mistake, and I am ready.

What do you consider your greatest strength?
    - I think one of my greatest strengths is my determination. I am a down-to-Earth human, I strive to achieve my goals and try to let nothing stand in my way. I am like this for school mostly, but I also express this trait in Brawl. I am determined to receive this position and I really want to help out players both in-game and on forums. I can use this to my advantage as a moderator because I, should there be a problem, will never stop to fix it.

What do you consider your greatest weakness?
    - I find that my greatest weakness is accepting that I am wrong. I mentioned this in my previous application: Sometimes when I am wrong, I try to dig myself out only making the hole deeper. I love this analogy because it describes the situation I am in when this sort of thing happens to me. I will try to improve on setting myself straight and being the bigger person, giving people my admiration if they prove me wrong. This will help me in the long run as moderator into being more mature, as well as in real life, molding me into a better person.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl?
    - I am on Brawl everyday, usually 2-3+ hours on business days and 5+ hours on weekends. I love this server greatly, which is partly the reason I am so active. I play on War, WarZ, and Skywars mostly, and occasionally Minecraft Party and HG w/o guns.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on?
    - I am most active on War, which is part of the reason I want to become a War moderator. My stats can also be proof of how active I am: 2015-04-06_11.09.29.png
Since my last application 2 months ago, I have almost achieved 40,000 more kills.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame?
    - Usually I will provide 2-3+ regardless unless I have an exam/test to study for, or a huge project/ISU/ISP to work on. I take school very seriously so I often get these things done firsthand. This is why I am often on Brawl. I usually begin this time after classes. I never play during or before school. On weekends, I will play 5+ hours most of the time, usually after 2:30 P.M. when I get home from hockey practice on Saturdays, and starting at 11:00 A.M. on Sundays since I have practice at 5:30. I would usually continue playing after I get home at around 6:30.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game?
    - If this player is spamming, scamming or being offensive in chat, I will warn him/her twice, meaning I'll give them two chances to stop. Should they not listen to me, I will mute them for 5 minutes, state the reason as to why they were muted, and warn them to never do it again or their mute may be longer.
If there is a modder/hacker I will use Camtasia to record the hacker, then I will /report or send a higher staff the proof. From there they will be punished accordingly, depending if they persist following warnings.
For glitchers (e.g. grenade glitchers) I will immediately kick them from the server for no allotted time. When they come back on, I will state the reason they were kicked and warn them to never do it again.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums?
    - If someone breaks a rule on the forums, for each of these situations I will:
Spamming, flaming, off-topic posts: Edit or delete the post/thread, follow a private conversation with the player with the proper format and reason as to what their rule break was.
Whole thread is off topic, thread is in no need to continue/question is answered: Lock the thread after quoting the person's answer, or state the reason why the thread was locked, following a message stating that players may openly PM me for further questions.
These forum-users should read the forum rules before posting anything again to ensure they do not make the same mistake.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3?
    - I have been in TS3 chats where players do not change their names to their in-game names. They were warned once, and if they do not change it then they were kicked. I would warn the player to change it immediately. If a player plays music or echos, I will move them to a 2 player chat and state the reason why the were moved here, warn them that what they are doing is against the rules and make sure they do not do it again or else they will be punished. If players are being obnoxious and offensive to others in the TS3 chat, I will warn them immediately to stop. If the problem persists, I will move him/her to a private chat, where they will be warned the consequences if they do it again. They will be kicked/banned if they happen to do so.

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue?
    - I will calm everyone down - meaning I will answer everyone's questions and tell everyone that I will get an admin online immediately. I will warn players to not abuse or exploit glitches following the breaking economy glitch. I will be calm, not stressed out, and I will be sure that players will understand what is going on. I will monitor the server until the admin responds and logs on.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past?
    - I have made one application in the past.

What is the date of the last application you submitted?
    - February 10th, 2015 - roughly two months ago.

Do you have a working microphone?
    - I use my iPad for Skype and TS3, so that should count as a working microphone. However, I am looking to buy the Razer 7.1 headphones that are compatible with my computer so I may TeamSpeak more easily.

Are you able to record and upload videos?
    - I am able to record. I use Camtasia to record my videos, they are usually in 720p quality. I upload videos to my channel here:
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6m9MHb5gBxW-JS3z2zlXfw/feed

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work?
    - I do. I understand how /kick, /ban, and /mute work and I understand that abusing these commands are unacceptable. I also know /fp especially for changing maps.

Anything else we should know about you?
    - I actively volunteer at local camps to help elementary students connect with each other for their retreats. I play two sports: hockey and soccer, in which my game-time may be affected.

Thank you for reading my application - I appreciate any and every type of response, and I will use them to my advantage to help better myself.

Over all +1. Your app is lengthy and the questions are answered well. I see you in game almost every time I'm on being helpful. You're active on the forums constantly posting (no spam). One thing that you should work on is being on TeamSpeak, I haven't really seen you on there.

    Good luck! +1

I really appreciate the feed back! This really helps me a lot and judging by what you said I will try here-on-out to improve my TeamSpeak activity. I will use your tips to my advantage.
    Thank you, Blamo

Thank you for applying Sly. I see you in game everyday, and I see you post frequently on the forums. However, I do see you have a few "anger" problems in game. Often I see you complain about being killed, and posting inappropriate things in game. You are a very nice guy, but I do not believe you have the right mind set of a moderator. You need to improve on your attitude before applying. I did, however, enjoy your application. Unfortunately, it is a -1 for me.

Application: I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with your overall application Striker. It struck me as long, detailed, and well though out. You really were able to communicate why you are now prepared for this position through your application. Your answers were very detailed and your length was definitely above-average. The only thing I can see room for improvement is the way you answered the "What will you provide the community if you are provided with this position" question. Just about anyone can provide what you listed. I would have liked to hear what unique things can you, and only you bring to the table? Other than that, I don't have much else to say. For your overall application, I'll give you a +1.

In-game activity: You are very active on War. This doesn't require much though at all. +1

TS3 activity: It's difficult to judge Teamspeak activity. I've seen you on once or twice, but that doesn't mean much. From what I have heard from others, you can improve in this area, but those are their words, not mine. +0

Forums activity: Your forums activity is ok. The War section is probably the most active section of the forums, and I would have liked to see you a little more active in this area. The quality of the content you post here is average in my opinion, and I would like to see you more interested in bettering the community through ideas and such. A lot of your content is achievement threads. I would like to see you work on the quality of your content posted before I give you a +1. For now, I'm going to give you a -1.

Notes: Make sure your weakness doesn't lead to pride if you are accepted. Just because you are a mod doesn't mean you are always right. Also, I'm very conflicted about this application, and therefore, not the best judge of it. I'm biased in the way that the last time I saw you in-game was some time ago, and I was having to stop an argument you were involved in. Me and you had a long talk in an in-game PM about your irl life and how that was affecting your in-game behavior. However, as I said before, that was some time ago, and I have not had the opportunity to see how much you have grown since then. My question to you is this: Can you overcome this? Can you leave the garbage going on in your life behind and effectively perform your duties as a moderator? Are you certain you can handle this position? Also, your reputation with the community has not been the best in the past. Should you become a moderator, there will still be those who dislike you. Are you ready and willing to serve the very ones that would seek to put you down? Are you ready to deal with the hate you will receive? These are some very important questions I think you should consider. But do no let these things discourage you. I am not trying to discourage you from becoming a mod, but to prepare you for some of the things that you might have to face. I believe you can do all these things if you put your mind to it. Just be ready for what is to come, and you will be able to face it.

    Overall: +0

    Good luck with your application.

Hello randomcitizen! I appreciate that you took the time to read my application thoroughly and helped me notice the things I needed to improve. I understand what you said about my answer on what I will bring to the community. I should have emphasized this a little more - but I would connect with the community and make players feel at home, and feel comfortable. It's not much, but I've noticed that players could and would be more assured of things if I connect with them, as opposed to just saying things as a part of the job strictly. I'm not sure if this is a unique 'bring-to-the-table' feature, however.
Looking at your input on forums, I also agree. I will be sure to make more threads to better the server, such as some server ideas I have saved up. I understand some of my posts are achievements and I will discontinue.
Reading over your notes, I see that you understand my past on this server, and the reputation I've earned from it.
I understand the hole that I am in right now. If I am to get this position, I'm going to have to work through all the hate and disagreements and do my job as I'm supposed to.
I love your responses because they are honest, straightforward yet detailed, and I appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my application.
