    So basically none of that shonen stuff (naruto, bleach, SAO, etc) I've started watching Kill la Kill but I want to watch something less hardcore. Any genre like slice-of-life, romance, etc.

    Studio Ghibli has some wonderfully writen/animated movies.

    I know a hella lot action/thriller anime series, but I do not watch Romance or Slice of Life.

    Watch Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky and The Wind Rises. They are anime movies, and not series.
    I think they are made by Studio Ghibli.

    spirited away, otomen, toradora, Ouran high school host club , my devil is a part time worker(the plot is silly/kind of dumb but the characters are individually great so its worth it)

    and I cant think of others.. those just came to mind lol .

    These will keep you busy for a week or two. Also: Trinity Seven is semi romance, however it does have its ecchi and harem aspect to it. I'd still recommend it. I have lots more if you've watched most or all of those mentioned above.
