So, I've been running into a lot of issues as of late that I can not seem to fix, everything that I thought has been the issue, has not, and has not solved anything other than a bit of space clearing.
So here's the issue: My computer lags to hell, quite simple sounding, often fixable, however this time around I am completely unsure of where to go, here is a list of the following things I've tried:
    -Reboots
    -System restores
    -Clearing files
    -BleachBit
    -RegistryCleaner
    -CCleaner
-Virus scans (Completely secure, zero results, I even manually checked my PC for suspicious things)
-Clearing 300+ GB off my D and E drives, which were backups, stored onto my external
-Decreasing graphical settings on everything, using less icons on the desktop, killing processes to clear up CPU
    -Graphic Drivers, updated them yesterday
-Heat reduction, my computer has built in fans, out of the sun, in a cool spot of the room
-Modifying RAM usage to games (Minecraft, DayZ, etc) nothing notable changed

So more specifically, the problem has to do with my CPU usage, and yes, I've monitored tasks, anything more than a few things open, and it'll start to die. My CPU spikes to 100%+ when reloading in minecraft, is a stable 40-60% while just loading it up, somewhere in the 40-50% range when playing.
In addition to minecraft, I tried to just play a flash game with a friend of mine as a substitute, in my browser, it KILLED my computer.

So back to minecraft, checked Java, did multiple reinstalls, everything is up to date.

Of course, here's my specs, as any analysis needs:
    Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHZ
    8GB RAM
64 bit OS (Windows 7, valid)
    ASUS ROG G750JX (Laptop)

Now, as you may have read, yes, I do own a laptop, and yes I'm aware, they're not meant for gaming, but for about 2 years this machine kept me well above what I needed, 100+ stable FPS in anything, running clear, able to withstand anything.

I've owned my machine for about 4 years, it was a Christmas gift, way back in the day, and has been with me for a long time as you can imagine.

My question is this: Is there something I can do, or try, or even begin to perform that would help my poor computers life, or is it just that time and is it time for an upgrade to a tower?
My parents are some of the most stubborn people in the world, as long as my machine turns on, my father doesn't believe it's time for a new one. Once I know if it can't be fixed, that'll be enough to support my argument to others and hopefully would result in a new machine. If all else fails I have a friend offering to buy me one, but i'd prefer that not to happen.

Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated, as you may have guessed, this is my last hope before I take it in to a PC shop and see if there's anything they can do.

I'm not all that great with computer advice, but I think it's time for you to buy a new computer. Lap tops usually have a lifespan of 2-4 years before they turn to complete garbage. I had a Toshiba that worked great, then all of a sudden started over heating for no reason.
Reading the end, I know your father won't buy you it - that's why you should start making money. Doing a simple paper route or shoveling your neighbors driveway can earn you simple cash, and you'll get a new one in no time.

Try booting from an Ubuntu live disk and running Minecraft (or similar) - that'll tell you if it's Windows being crappy or your laptop failing.
