SOS: Shoot On Sight

    So, what I have noticed, is there is a vast lack of concern for the individual. It is all about self. I am wondering, why Is it that you see often so many red names. Simply said, everyone is concerned about themselves. WarZ has adopted a bit of a shoot on sight policy. It is rather tiring to know that ration, logic, and simple speech is now void in such a game. I remember once, I was in full IR with tier IV and I was escorting a friend of mine to the prison. There happened to be a fellow there whom was leaving, the first thing I noticed were vast sniper shots being fired downrange. I resorted to my degal, and told my friend to type. "Dude, I really don't want to kill you. I'm not in the mood, just be peaceful and leave. We're just passing by. And that was it. We did the sign of friendship (crouching with our swords crossed) and that was the end of it. Is there no real emphasis or possibility in simply looting without having to watch your shoulder ever 5 seconds? SOS used to mean asking for help, but now days its simply a shoot on sight policy. Any thoughts?

    WarZ is meant to be a savage wasteland where people scrounge for food and supplies, berally surviving. If this happened in the real world I bet there would be a lot of people shooting on sight just to get the supplies the other guy had. The reason warz adopted this habit isn't because everyone has that mind-set. It's because initially a few people had that mind-set and so others got into the habit of shooting people who always tried to kill them. Then it started a big chain reaction and now people shoot people as soon as they see them. The new warz update will add some new things that will prevent that but until then, just shoot.

    I really like the idea of having a world where it's not just a straight up shoot and kill. The fact that you could just pass someone by without dying if you don't do any harm is great. I know humanity kinda works that way but the thing is if you know that they are enemies and they will shoot, it shouldn't be they should have to hit you first in order to not lose humanity. Possibly if they shoot around you or towards your direction you are able to shoot them without yourself losing humanity? Just an idea.

    I liked the closing to this, but really. I'm a bit of a diplomatic person. Its offensive to have to sacrifice myself to kill others. Contradictory as that may be. And Giga, I do agree to that as well. Where is the good ol' bartering? Not just.... Hey, nice Iron chest plate. *takes our M9 Slowly* It'd be a shame if something happened to it.

    WarZ is a scavage for loot fest. Who ever plays the smartest/Most power in my opin wins. It shouldnt be a o should I shoot him Q_Q it should be a KOS all the time

    But then, Imagine how backwards we are then progressing. I mean, the entire human race was founded upon compromise and occasionally being a bit well mannered. WarZ does truly bring out the worst in people.

    I do find this conversation interesting, and it has many good points. However, this is a zombie survival, and I feel that the staff, and some of the players, are trying to make it as realistic an experience as possible. If there were to be any friendly players, we would need a better system of recognizing friendly players, other than the blue names. (Blue can usually indicate that they are skilled in handling multiple zombies, and have spent a large amount of time in a higher-tier place. Those who want to be friends, just doesn't sound realistic. There are servers that are friendly zombie survivals, but this isn't one of them.

    Actually, a valid point. A bit of a morality system should be implemented.

    I only go to kill threats. Then, I kill everyone else because I get killed because I let that one guy live. Hm. See how it is? Good :smile:

    I've actually seen this. You let that one kid go. He will kill you as soon as possible. Some people don't know when to let it go. Be thankful you've been spared.

    Which is why the moment that happened, I had like -1mil humanity... Then I adopted the KOS motto.. Kill On Sight.

    When you spare someone and they come back to kill you.. it's just kind of like them being the catalyst to your KOS killing spree.
