Should the Hardcore games be reorganized?

    Hello guys I have arrived! If you played on Mcpvp you've probably seen me online.

    Getting straight to the point here, I think that current HG is too complex and some kits should just be removed. For example I've never ever seen a Lifeline in game despite playing HG pretty much everyday since it's release.

    I think that this could be a good fresh start for HG! I'd love to hear what you old HG'ers think.

    No, I love lifeline. I like the amount of kits because it always keeps you on your toes. I would like to see people given a random kit that isn't used a whole lot to spice-up the game though.

    I'll make a thread about most kits that need removing etc. Some kits just can't be balanced anyways, look at kangaroo and lifeline...or clone kits. It makes noobs confused. Also structures were boring and lame, lets remove this and make cooler feasts.

    Some kits I feel either serve no purpose anymore and need major buffing (Neo, Santa as examples), and some are way too overpowered in the current meta (Ninja, Grappler).

    Most of the op kits aren't really balanceable

    Lifeline is a great kit, its really balanced, you just don't see people playing it because it was retired a while ago.

    I personally didnt play much hg in the past year or so but when i did i noticed Kanga/Grappler/Phantom were extremely over played and i think its because of the movment. The ways i could see these being balanced out would be Kanga has no forward movement jumps and could fall and take a max of 9 1/2 hearts instead of like 4 or whatever it was so that makes it somewhat more risky when jumping into ravines and fighting towers. Next a nerf for grappler would make it so you cant hook onto other plays therefor taking away the insane speed at catching back up to players. Phantom was pretty fair IMO. Then looking at harleyys idea of making surprise a free kit would also help players play more of the lesser played kits. They should also bring back kits for purchase like MilkMan/Miner I personally loved playing those kits!

    Phantom wasn't used that much, and I agree completely with you. Grappler needs a nerf and kangaroo would be perfect without the forward jump. But mcpvp failed to do this in two years so yeah maybe we should take radical measures here.

    Yea lets have faith in brawl to listen to the ex mcpvpers so they can fix what mcpvp wouldnt.

    I get your point, but I would like to ask you something: did you ever try kangaroo? It is fun af, what it needs is a nerf so it doesnt affect other player's gameplay. What i suggest is a 15 seconds cooldown whenever you get hit, for both grappler and kangaroo kits. The speed of catching back up to players should be lowered too.
    About the fall damage: I think the max damage should be 8hp, so you cant die from skeletons shooting at you, but still can die to a stone sworder xD

    what proposals?

    I tried kanga many times and I felt it was very overpowered and because of that I found it not as fun because of less challenge fighting towers/fall traps. Also mcpvp did do something similar to the cool downs on forward moving jumps was if you were near a player at all it wouldnt let you forward jump, but the thing was if you just did 2 singles instead of double clicking it you could still forward jump :/. Also I would be cool with it taking 8 hp of fall dmg. But kanga is one of those kits that has more pros then cons. Also giving grappler a 15 sec cool down on hit wouldn't stop anything since the range on the line is like 50 blocks so they could just tag behind then sling forward again. The only way i can see fixing grappler would be to not allow it to hook onto players.

    It outclasses all other mobility kits. Why buy phantom/flash/jumper when you have kangaroo that covers you're pvp advantadges, mobility and lets you travel insane distances extremely fast?

    thats why we should remove kangaroo and balance out the other kits because they bring simple features not complex ones like kanga

    Lifeline was just an example. My point is that 120 kits (lot's of which do the same thing) are really confusing.
