    Soo, I know there has been some talk about coins so I decided to make a thread for what I think they could be used for and how they could work.

    How can coins be obtained?
    I was thinking they would be a little easier to acquire than stars are, and the better you did the more you would get.
    Any Place: 1 coin.
    Top 10: 2 coins.
    Top 5: 3 coins.
    Winner: 5 coins.

    Ideas for what coins can be used for?
    I was just talking to a friend about the server and we came up with some Ideas.
    Coloured Names: Con being can be confused with staff or donators.
    Being able to buy each separate piece of leather armour, then being able to get them dyed whichever colour.

    If you have more ideas Please post them and I can add them to the list C:

    Sorry I didn't make that clear enough V: You can use the coins to buy the Dye and or leather armour.

    Maybe still let the winner win a star and more unique and "expensive" items cost stars.
    Kind of like a Copper > Silver > Gold coin economy in most MMOs.

    Items could be:
    Horse armor, Undead horse, leather amour & colors, cycling rainbow armor, different particles that you could "wear", eggs instead of snowballs, different kinds of shovels, etc.

    How about trading stars for coins, but also being able to buy star-only items. So basically treat it like MMOs treat donor money.

    I agree with all of this, Of course the winner would still get a star, as that is what I would imagine the leaderboards would use. I'm not sure about using stars as currency though, as you could be at the top and then drop straight to the bottom, unless you will record Wins rather than stars.

    Some great suggestions going on here. Perhaps even a 'Rank up' system, in which coins can be used to buy stuff in the shop, and stars are used for 'Rank ups' e.g 10 Stars means you can unlock a new rank etc. Just an idea.

    For the part about the colored names being confused with staff. Could be easily fixed with prefixes.
