I've not even played on this server for long and by posting this thread I can speak for most of the MCPVP CTF community. CTF is a competitive gamemode. KitPvP is made for fun but people can see it as a more competitive thing too. If this server's staff is too incompetent to deal with actual hackers and start banning legitimate, good players you guys should stick to fun game modes made for younger children.
There was a blatant hacker on with kill aura and possibly other combat hacks but you couldn't even tell because they would have you killed before you could see if they have any sort of auto soup, anti-knock back etc. I noticed a moderator was on and I had actually noticed the moderator had died to this player a couple of times. I questioned this moderator about the hacker and they ignored me. But I saw them sit in chat and talk to people. So naturally this irritated me so I began swearing to get the mods attention. Now that I’m looking back on that, I know I was in the wrong about swearing, but once I had gotten the mods attention they still did nothing about it and repeated to tell me I'm not allowed to make accusations and I have to make a post about it. But the guy was clearly hacking. You'd have to be borderline mentally unstable to not see it. The mod then went on to ignore this player hacking and let them play for multiple hours hacking and racking up kills on legitimate players like myself. The moderators name was Cuddled or something along those lines. I did not take screenshots of this because quite frankly, I didn't expect the moderator to be punished because it looks like us players from the MCPVP community just get their posts locked, deleted and they are ignored.

You guys have to understand that we are much more competitive PVPers and our skills might seem like hacks to you people who aren't used to the PVP scene in minecraft. What you've got to realise is there are lots of factors to take into account when thinking if someone is hacking. You've got to see if their movement is consistent with their pvp abilities. Then you've got to take into account that minecraft allows you to click quite fast. People say there is a cap to it, which is true but it's been proven that if you click faster you're going to hit quicker, making it look like you are hitting from a longer range the way latency and knockback works. Lastly you've got to take into the connection. I cannot stress that enough that minecraft multiplayer is horribly optimized and unless both players are sitting at the exact same latency to the server the combat will never look right, especially if the player with the upper hand in connection also has an upper hand in PVP capabilities

End of the line is that you guys should really stick to fun game modes and not competitive pvp. Your CTF gamemode will no doubt be popular, as will your kit pvp server. But it will just be full of people who are playing for fun. You will make little to no profit from them.
Your staff members are obviously not cut out for knowing when a player is hacking or not, so you might aswell forget the idea of kitpvp and ctf unless you're going to listen to us, the players who know what we are talking about when we talk about this kind of stuff.

Our regular moderators cannot ban hackers because of all of the reasons you listed. We leave 'hacker banning' up to SMODs+ who know what to look for. Cuddled is a moderator, and does her job exceptionally well. If you don't have proof of a moderator not doing their job, stop throwing shade. But like I said (and numerous moderators and other staff members many times), it's not up to mods to ban hackers.

We bought McPvP game modes. That does not mean we merged together. These servers that you play are Brawl. We will take ideas to change our policies, but we have been using our system for 3 years, and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Now, if someone thinks they have been falsely banned, they can make a ban appeal. I don't want to see any more of these threads.

If you would like to apply for staff, you can post an application here. But first make sure you're active on our forums, teamspeak, and in-game.
