    As some of you remember, people made nether portal traps. Why not just remove the function to light them?

    Agreed. Please also make trapping of any kind temporary or permanent bannable.

    I've never found a use for nether portal lighting. Might as well remove it.

    If you ever need the portal items, I suppuse a moderator could get it for you for your map (like Fantasy)

    OR you could just remove portal teleportation... also, would this apply to all portals including WE placed ones or only obsidianframed firelit portals?

    Teleportation's not the problem. If you get trapped in someone else's portal, you can't open chat, you can't break the portal and you can't even press Esc to disconnect. The only way to escape is by closing minecraft completely.

    Ohhh now i get it... thought it was one of those one way trips to hell.... :V
    i got stuck in a trap portal on a server once... NOT FUN

    Maybe you could make something that would tp u to spawn if you stand in a portal for more than 10 sec or something.. (might be complicated, ik)

    Ok I realized that my old post was kinda, uh, not useful to my argument. I have used nether portals in many of my builds and also if portals are enabled with WE then will it really matter...
