Is Not Having A Social Life... Good?

Pros:
You can get laid.

Cons:
It's pretty damn difficult to get laid.

IMHO having a social life improves your life. Not having it will cause difficulties when you are an adult.

there is no sympathy left for one whom screams for attention and also acts like a 5 year old.
honestly you don't deserve a social life.

 

Get all A's and B's, go to college, study something that requires math and you'll get a great job.

The social life will come with time. When you live on your own you can do what you want.

Then, you can have all the lady friends you want...

 

Ehh, what you chose should reflect what you want your future to be. If you want to be someone who works with people then get a social life. If you want a job where you don't have to socialize much and be smart then keep doing what you are doing. A balance is key. Also changing social groups could be difficult because people already know you as who you were and may not accept who you have become.

 

Take your time. I had a job as a lifeguard in High school, that is a great way to develop a social network and make friends. Playing sports is great too.

I was a Nock - Nerd Jock and I turned out great. You will too.

Don't follow the pack make your own way based on your goals and dreams.

 

I would try to be more social, I'm very introverted but recently I've stepped out of my shell a tad, and I've seen improvements in my life, however I already had a social life to start with, I just became more social. As for balance I am currently a 4.0 student, while playing track and lacrosse, I'm actually going to county's for track, it's just all about scheduling for me.

Join a sport or a club. Alternatively, you could try talking to a few new people at school. You never know, you might suddenly become best buddies.

However, if you choose to spend more time with friends or/and join a sport, make sure you devote time that you would otherwise use to play games. Your grades shouldn't have to suffer. Especially since you are such a good student, and capable of achiveing a top notch job in the future.

 

It isn't really hard to be social and to have good grades. Just keep studying and be friendly and chill to everyone in your school.

 

Well, if you have a good core group of friends, you do not need to be social with anyone else. I have 6 friends who i hang out with and that is it. and i am fine with that. Yes I will talk to other people in my class, but that core is who i always hang out with, and i am very happy

And this is why you shouldn't have a social life. When "poor" DarSwag has something do wrong in his perfect world, he explodes. I have a social life. I have lots of friends. Basically the only people whom I'm not friends with are douches, like you. Am I really immature? I could've gotten mod for quite a while back in 2014, while you sat there planning ways to attention ***** and act like the most immature kid ever.

 

I say its good and bad..... and well...... Considering i'm still here after 3 years shows you my life..... It's really bad for me at times.. ._. Also you become a really antisocial person, or you become rude, or you can be nice and friendly. people can choose to see one side or the other. Sometimes I think even my friends like making me mad 24/7....*Cough* @Ritzy trying to make me think i was going to time out and also getting the rest of the channel to remain silent while i kept saying "hello?" "Anyone there?".. *Cough* Though, considering 80% the people in my school don't know I exist, or they know I exist but Pretend they don't know.......... I do have my pluses for here...

Pros:

• People, people and people! I get to meet new friends and new personalities.
• Getting good grades.... (Ish)
• and getting some skill on the computer. (Totally going to get me somewhere, right?)
• Proving people wrong about a game....
• liking to read... (Form posts, peoples rants, books, etc.)
• Someone asks for your Instagram and you magically have it along with just about every other social website.
• and that's about it.......

Cons:

• People, people and people! -some can be really annoying....
• that moment you realize you're getting left out in just about EVERYTHING.
• "You play a minecraft server?" comments
• The ability to procrastinate. <----- Ah yes. My best friend.
• Becomming a nerd on game facts and gaming devices.
• Having the sudden interest to read and having everyone look at you like you're an alien.
• Missing out on your crushes party. Only because you're yelling at people on a teamspeak server! +1
• Getting a weird taste in music...

And yeah. That's about it for my life. R.I.P
