Winter's 2.5 Year Anniversary

Today marks a pretty darn special day for me. I'd put this in the off topic section or wherever these sort of things go, but I feel like you MCPVPers/CTFers should get the chance to read it, and I'm afraid if I put it over in some other section (at least right now, since everyone's still new to the forums) that some of you will never see it.

I know that some of you have never even heard of me (cough cough Brawlers <3 cough cough ;-) ) so I think it's time to repeat a story I've told a couple of times on the MCPVP forums.

On November 28th, 2012, I had this idea... to look up a Minecraft Capture the Flag server. I had been looking for a new server to play on since I had tried a bunch of big survival servers and I never really understood plots and things like that fully (lol, I was stupid!) I found one server that I don't believe is up anymore, and MCPVP's CTF. I liked MCCTF a LOT better because it was just way better, but I was discouraged by the fact that some of the classes had to be bought. So I would switch back and forth between MCCTF and this other server, but I was very unhappy with the style of the other server, so I eventually left it.

I eventually got around the fact that I had to buy classes. I played the free classes (Heavy, Archer, Medic, and Soldier) and played around with the latter three for the most part. My first CTF game I remember playing in is on Highrise (there's a remake of it now called Lowrise, great map) as defensive Medic and I think we won due to it. Not sure about that though. xP

That summer, I really wasn't sure what to do in CTF. I wasn't very good at the free classes, and I couldn't very well get any of the premium ones. I sorta slacked when it came to playtime for a while, only playing for about 15-30 minutes a day. That late summer however, I found something that changed my perspective on the game completely. I found this person named "ZCOZZ" on youtube... He played Archer on CTF, and man was he good at it. Seeing him play inspired me, and even with my 4-5 chunks of render distance, I managed to start copying him. I saw myself improve here and there, but most importantly, I grew more and more happy with the game. I wanted to play more. I wanted to improve. So that I did.

That fall I got into my very first CTF team, Death From Above. @Magnifly recruited me, and we won our first match or two, but then the team started to fall apart (I really don't remember why) and I got invited to The Blue Flaggers. I spent the winter there, and in March things weren't working out for me on the team, and I got invited to Delta Force by Agent_Neon (man I miss that guy, he was inspiring to me) after they had told me that I was denied from the team a few days earlier. I've been on DF ever since and I have no plans to leave them. <3 I even made a trailer for them, which I'll link at the bottom of all of this.

After I joined DF, I really concentrated at getting better at archery, since that's what they recruited me for. And although I'm NOT the best Archer ever, and am far from it, I've gotten better since I joined this lovely team. I got 100 subscribers on my Youtube channel last May, and 200 this January. I nearly have 250 now, but I've been slow with uploading since I've been busy IRL. I'll upload more soon though. ^-^

So now onto the part where I thank a bunch of people.
@ZCOZZ (not sure if you're on this forum yet or not) Thank you for being one of my best friends and teachers. You're amazing, dude. =D
@hclewk For giving me the time of my life on those wonderful servers called MCPVP. I love you, dude. xD Good luck with those kids.
@DeltaForce gave me the means to become better at Archery and a number of other things. At least now I stand up to the 1,000 targeters that I get a day and not just cower in the corner. xP
@Everyone in the whole MCPVP community for being such an awesome group of people. Except for you targeters. xD
@Brawl for buying our gamemodes so we could still play them (soon™ xD <3)
@All of the MCPVP moderators - thank you for being wonderful people <3 you guys are the best. I can't thank you all enough for what you've done for me personally and the whole server.
I wish I could tag everyone that has made my experience better over the past 2.5 years, but I can't. =( If I didn't tag you here, don't be offended. ;-; sorry!!

@Romke_McScumbag I'm not very good at quoting stuff on this forum yet so I'm just gonna copy and paste xD

How did you come up with your IGN?
My mom actually came up with it O_O She didn't know that what she put in that certain slot would be my actual IGN. It's wintergreen3 because she likes the season winter, likes the color green, and likes the number three.... xDD

What are your top 3 favourite classes in CTF?
Archer, archer, and archer!!!!

Do you like brawl from what you have seen?
Ya, I do ^-^ Although I think the anti-cheat could use a lot of work, I've enjoyed my time here so far.

Why did this get moved to off-topic...? It's on topic... It's CTF related, and I wanted CTFers/MCPVPers to see it since they don't really visit other sections of the forums.
I guess they had the time to while it was in the CTF section, but is there any explanation for this? It seems kinda odd to me.
