    Dear BRAWL Admins,

    I wanted to inform you about the MCPVP community, so you will be careful of your decisions that will be made in HG and CTF.

    The community is very close and competitive, we are a group of people that like to talk about the game together through different kinds of chats, such as Skype or just the in-game chat. Since alot of people are so competitive about the game, it makes game changes ever so important. We had official/unofficial tournaments and matches, wich we took very serious, we practised alot for them. I have read the post about possible changes, but I must warn you, even a slight change, wich might seem ever so small, can make a huge impact in our POV. You said there will be mostly additions as oppose to changes. For example, features that make the game more focused towards casual gameplay can make a big difference for us, (im sorry I can't think of a better example). Anyway, I hope that - even small changes - will be strawpolled (and have every player be informed about the strawpolling). To prevent these possibly gamebreaking additions, or changes that will make the game more focused towards casual-like gameplay.

    I hope made a point and you admins will understand, the competitive MCPVP community is big, but also fragile qua gameplay mechanics.

    Not sure if you read the 12938059810923809575102938 messages in the news and updates categories of both forums saying "CTF and HG will not be changed"

    Don't worry, they want to bring back HG and CTF like they were before when we had 15,000 players online.

    Even if we changed the whole server, the community will always be the same...

    EDIT: And if I may remind you, Chap was an old McPvP player and mapmaker for McPvP, and if you see in staff list... he's Owner... I doubt he would want to change it up that much.

    They have stated that they will bring CTF back close to its original form with a few aesthetic changes, they'll probably change CTF much later.

    Change is needed to make CTF more casual to allow players accessibility and fairness, but I doubt that making CTF more noob friendly will hurt CTF.

    Those who are dedicated to CTF and HG will stay, no matter what happens. I know for a fact that Brawl will take take to carefully and methodically plan the future updates and maintenance on the servers. I know for a fact they will make sure to look at the suggestions and such posted in the CTF and HG sections so that they can update accordinly for what the community want. The last thing we want is to hurt the community of CTF and HG.

    Don't worry! We'll only give every class a gun :wink: no problems!

    I am sure that chap has a mind, that is right enough, to keep minimum change in the servers. He will obviously not change a lot, maybe a little, but not as much to the point of creating rage.

    Don't get us wrong, quite a few of us have been waiting for change for a while and we were in the process of getting it. CTF is in need of changes, but most mcpvpers are worried that the admins may not take community input.

    I just remembered about the planned Pyro rework. Hope that happens here as well. And can't Nom stay coder for CTF?

    He is coding for Brawl, so I presume he'll help code for CTF. I don't think the Pyro rework was ever "planned", just something they wanted to do.

    Do not worry.

    Events will be hosted from time to time and the will be spectated and well moderated during the game(s). From previous sayings of the Administrators, the game will be just the way it was before we bought it. The only thing I know will be changed is just a few cosmetic changes.

    I'm hoping that the HG update will bring new players to the servers and the rules about kindness will be more strictly applied. I think the lack of a strong and kind community is what brought MCPVP's downfall, and I have faith Brawl will be able to prevent that from happening.

    On the one side there are players stating MCPVP went down because CTF hardly got any updates and HG classes were unbalanced, on the other side there are players stating we shouldn't change anything.
    We will hardly ever be able to change something every single player will love, but we will try to fix, change and balance things a majority of the player wants.

    Im not really worried about the games as much as the community. (As long as you listen to us) Not sure about HG but the CTF forums had soo much freedom, we pretty much posted anything we wanted too, spam, flaim, porn (no jk), or anything else at all.

    Now were bought out by another server and we cant have our spam and all that. If you havent noticed the CTF community (again I cannot speak for the HG community) is very tightly nit for a multitude of reasons. Im not quite sure what will happen if you take away all of that freedom. But thats just me.

    Im not worried about the game at all. I feel like the Admins are able to use common scene plus Nom = God.

    From what I learned on my time on this server. Everyone on the server are more casual people who are here to have fun. Us CTF players have fun in a seriously competitive environment and I don't imagine much Brawl players taking up CTF as their main gamemode.
    Also I can't wait to see how long it takes all the CTF players to get banned one by one because the server's smods and admins have no idea what a hacker is.
