    Hello everyone! I am back. Since my last idea for a minigame was rejected, (see here) I have come up with another idea! How does something like this sound. I think it would be something like this. There would be either a giant circular volcano with ladders inside or just a large flat wall. The point would be just to not get knocked off, and this would obviously be very difficult. For the fireballs I would either use dispensers with firecharges , spawners that spawn tnt at an upward velocity, or lastly ghast fireball (or wither skull) spawners. For firecharges it would have to be coded in that if you take damage you are out. With tnt you would be exploded off, but you might be able to recover, leading me to believe that I might have to change the game-mode to first one to the top wins. As for the wither skull and ghast fireball spawners, I am not entirely sure mojang fixed a certain bug with ghast fireball spawners so I don't know if I could use them.     Update #1!!! 10/26/13: Ok, I finally got this working. Took me a while since I took a break. Here is the proof of concept world download. I was wondering. What should this be like? First to the top, or last player standing. If it is first player to the top, I can go ahead and make an actual volcano, because the game would pretty much be already done. However, if you would prefer last man standing, I can potentially add more obstacles that would activate as the round progressed. Here are some pics if you don't want to download the world.

    I like this idea, kind of like a big jumping puzzle within a volcano? And if nobody gets out after the time the volcano just gets flooded with lava. Seems good.

    Can you elaborate please, because I didn't get the jungle puzzle part. Now, how would I flood the volcano with lava... That might have to be coded in... Unless I can get sethbling's structure spawners to spawn lava (But then again, I have little experience with that)

    Yeah, i guess that would have to be coded in. It could be done with automated pistons or whatever but I think it would be best done coded in.

    If I'm reading this correctly, you basically have to climb across ladders with the purpose of avoiding falling projectiles, and the last player alive wins? If so, I think that it would be a great idea for a gamemode, but perhaps along with obstacles falling from above, they should also come from the sides as the game progresses. So that instead of just moving from side to side, you would also have to move up and down.

    Just an update on this, for some reason when I try to spawn firecharges using spawners, they bug out really crazily. I might be able to use one of sethblings filters to create infinite firecharges in dispensers, but if I can't, it might have to be coded in. Also, currently I am using a little trick inspired by sethbling's donkey kong map v2. I am using spawners on minecarts to spawn potions of damage (or in this case, instant death) upon dropping on the player. There are a few bugs however, as only nearly direct contact with the spawner inside the minecart will result in a kill. This being said, it is still very hard to survive long, and the game itself is surprisingly addicting, and adrenaline filled. Also, I am using vines instead of ladders because the ladders hit-box's cause some issues with the minecarts. I have not tried spawning tnt at an upward velocity yet, but I have seen it done before, so I know it is possible. I will post a proof of concept map as soon as I can get a decent sized arena working. So far, I have only been able to get this working in small scale. When I tried a full scale version, the minecart with spawner spawners bugged out really bad. Please be patient until I can get this working, thank you!

    I think this is a pretty decent idea but, needs some to be thought out a bit more.

    Today I will experiment with falling sand entities that will turn into lava once they land. I might get a rising lava effect out of that. Do you have any ideas that would make this mini-game better? Edit: Apparently it is no longer possible to successfully change falling sand entities in to lava. *Sigh* I still have a way to go for this map to work. Edit: Updated. See up there at the top ^^^
