Kit Idea -- Ghoul [Only Soup]

    Kit Idea -- Ghoul
    SOUP ONLY!
    Starting Items
    • Blaze Rod (renamed -- Ghoul Slash)
    • Iron Pressure Plate ( enchanted only for visual) (renamed -- Dark Energy Blast)
    Explanations
    • Ghoul Slash is simple, hit an enemy and he/she will get poison I for 4 seconds and blindness I for 8 seconds. Cooldown is 30 seconds.
    • Dark Energy Blast works by right clicking it, the following things happen:
      -All enemies soup get filled with dark energy which causes poison II for 3 seconds if they eat one. This lasts 15 seconds and has a cooldown of 30 seconds. The soup will have some visual display for the non-Ghouls.
    Pros
    • Use Ghoul Slash in the feast to hit, loot and run.
    • If your in a fight with a stronger opponent or if your against a team use the Dark Energy Blast and hit them all multiple time making them eat the soup.
    Cons
    • If you see a teammate getting poisoned by eating a soup, wait until 15 seconds are up and then eat.
    • If the Ghoul hits you with the Ghoul Slash get to a corner and randomly click the air hopeing you will hit him/her.

    I think the kit is a little bit to op but it's a nice idea. :grinning:

    1. I think mcpvp was trying to avoid kits with mostly potion effects.

    2. Using both abilities at once seems like it would make it extremely OP.

    3. Somewhat looks like a combination between viper and nightlock.

    4. Blindness is extremely powerful because blinded players can't sprint and can barely see, giving a huge combat advantage. 8 seconds seems like a long time for having this effect.

    I agree that this Kit is pretty OP, and I think if we were going to add a kit to HG, it wouldn't be nosoup only or soup only.

    Viper, Nightlock, Wizard, Snail, Cannibal, etc. They didn't want mostly potion effects? All those kits involved only potion effects, (including hunger but that isn't 100% of a potion effect.)

    Yep, I'd say try to stick to kits with diversity that would be balanced in both nosoup and soup versions of the server.
    I'll stick in my two cents and say that the kit seems like the buffs are too powerful at the moment, perhaps you can't use both abilities within like 2 minutes or something? Also, the point made above where it says that this is a merge of nightlock and viper is quite true as with the time of effect on this kit.

    Personally, I'd rethink the buffs that the kit gets because honestly it doesn't seem to balanced now.
    Perhaps look at some other effects rather than blindness and poison, and try looking for something more unique with more of a cooldown and less of an outstanding effect.
