Be able to delete our own threads

Everyone would have to be given the XF permission in order to delete threads, which would allow users to delete any thread on the forum, not just their own. Sorry, it just isn't that simple.

 

You can't externally modify the user group permissions without an addon of some sort.



This is a moderator permission board with the delete thread permission (yes, you can give normal users certain moderator permissions). If that permission was turned, everyone could delete any thread. As you can see, there's no permission for a user to delete only their thread, nor is their a way to modify this board.

 

Sorry, I don't think this will happen if we can't even delete our own replies to a thread.

 

This is not true. You CAN give a user permission to delete their own thread without giving them permission to delete every thread. Same goes for posts:

(Delete thread by self)

 

I like the idea and it can be done.

The problem, our team can't seem to get it together so I doubt it will be done. Great idea though.
